Thinking about a first time visit to PDI in 2021 if possible.
Two questions really... First, we would appreciate any hotel recommendations, maybe budget to midrange prices. Second, how should we book - as a package via jet2 etc or accommodation/flight separately? (ie couldn't find some hotels mentioned in the forums, like La Mirage or Venus, on some booking websites).
TIA |

"Buenos Aires apartments. Nice apartments in a great location, good price. Check on TripAdvisor
Stayed there, the apartment we had was lovely "
We concur. Always stay in and around the Yumbo and last year we stayed at B.A.
We had a great experience and have booked for April, though may cancel but not due to the hotel. |

We’d recommend joining club mur, as it’ll give you a discount if you book direct. 10% I believe and if you book around Black Friday, you’ll get additional discount.
We always book flights and accommodation separate. If we book with Ryanair, we use the transfer which is £23 return for two.
If you go on the bus, it’ll take you outside the B.A. and is €3.50 each. |

Just wondering if it's too much of a gamble to book October... The optimistic side of us wants to think it will be OK by then, but we really might not know for sure how clear it's looking until maybe late spring by which time it might be booked up everywhere! Aaagh. |

If you book a package holiday and it gets cancelled, at least you’ll get a refund |

If you go on booking or mur direct, then some hotels give free cancellation options (they’re slightly more expensive but still reasonable).
You may find you want to book this and then your flight later (though certain airlines may give you the option to change).
We’ve booked for April, but not a flight yet, but may have to postpone. Obviously later in the year gives you more of an optimistic feeling.
2 million jabs a week, plus a booster 12 weeks later (and if they’re able to run both concurrently) will take you into November but parking this to one side will be more down to how the rules of engagement/global situation will be closer to the time, which is the unknown.
So our recommendation would be to book a hotel with cancellation options and if you do see a flight, check the options around this.
That’d ring true with a package option too. |

I am not sure I would bank on that though. If this goes on until late into 2021 even some of the bigger holiday companies are going to go bust. I would be tempted to hang onto your money for another few months. |

That's why people should always pay by credit card, at least you're protected. |

Looking at the HL on PDI or the marieta. Good adult only hotels that do all inclusive so we can enjoy chill time and then make a dip in the swing scene if we want. Anyone been to either? |

Does the HL have a bar on the naked roof terrace? We love Canaria but the only issue is no bar on the terrace x |

It’s all about personal choice many hotels with naturist terraces obvious some like others better than what other people like
As stated before the suite is fantastic as is the Sandy beach but other posters prefers others |

Just to make clear, the rooftop terrace is split into two areas, one side naked, the other side clothed, with a clothed bar in the middle!
You can’t (that I tried anyway) walk up and get served au natrel

I spent 9 weeks on the rooftop last year . I just put a sarong around me to go to the bar . Or you can put a towel around you. You’re allowed two drinks at a time.At least they have that facility.. |

If it does get cancelled change your hotel! We went to Abora Caterina in 2019, asked to be moved after a day. Everything about it was awful. |

We always stay in a bungalow complex in Maspalomas. You get a little house with a lounge, kitchen and terrace and a bit cheaper than a hotel...just like La Mirage !
We have tried these which are all good:
Cordial Sandy Golf, Canary Club, El Pameral.
It's also v easy to take people back and have lovely orgies... |

"Really was it that bad ?
We also booked for last April and moved it to this April our first time in PDI
A few said it’s a lovely hotel!!"
No it's not that bad
We had a lovely room there with views of the dunes.
Food was plentiful. I have dietary requirements and generally found things I could eat, if not chef cooked things for me. Bonus for normal eaters was 24hr snack bar ideal for after club munchies.
Walking distance to the clubs.
Nudist roof terrace is a bonus.
Only downside for us was that there were lots of kids around the pools so we didn't use them, but prefer the beach and the roof terrace anyway.
Entertainment is very family orientated but by that time we were getting ready to go out anyway, so didn't bother us.
Everyone has their own opinions of course, but many people go back there time after time, so it can't be that bad! |

A good review of the Catarina
We thought the hotel was decent, food wasn’t brilliant but didn’t expect it to be
We eat out most days anyway, the bonus was the sandwiches etc when you were getting in after the clubs
Only downside for us was the kids ,
Ideally situated for the clubs
Everyone has different requirements so some will love some will hate |

"
Have stayed here many many times over the years, and as others have said, central to everything, clean, good pool area and great staff.
With the current pandemic and the uncertainty of flights going ahead I would advise a package holiday through a tour operator as opposed to booking everything seperately yourself.
Just for your own peace of mind
