Looking for advice and opinions people.
Planning on going to GC this year when we can and want to make a good choice of hotel.
It’ll be the first time at a dedicated swinger resort for us and we want a good balance of relaxing time away and having fun.
Recommendations welcomed.

There are only two that could be classed as dedicated swinger complexes.
La Mirage and Venus Star.
We've stayed at La Mirage which is a small complex of 30 odd bungalows and would strongly recommend it.
We've not tried Venus Star but it does get good reviews on here and also on the German site we use.
While some of the hotels in Maspalomas/PDI are more swinger friendly than others (nudist roof terraces Etc.) none could be described as "dedicated swinger" All will have vanilla guests and at certain times of the year many will have families as well.

We do like both but prefer La Mirage. The one thing we think Venus Star lacks is a decent bar area to mix with other guests before heading out at night but it's still a great place. We'll quite often split our time between both if we're away for two weeks. |

As previously said this is NOT a swingers resort in anyway whatsoever, it's almost completely vanilla.. Saying that you do have two dedicated swinger/naturist hotels. We stayed in La Mirage for the first time 14 months ago. We were a bit apprehensive as we do normally go to Cap D'Agde but we're very pleasantly surprised at the chilled, no pressure and friendly atmosphere of the hotel. It's rooms are also 4 star quality for 3 star prices.
We also visited Venus for one of their BBQ days and enjoyed that as well.. it's much bigger and a bit more commercial than La Mirage and more expensive but then you just have more choice. Lol
The great advantage of these two hotels over others is you can be naked all day!
The surrounding areas are pretty rubbish in our opinion, bland soleless holiday apartments with few shops. All the action takes place at several clubs and a few bars in town so taxis everywhere but they are cheap.
You don't have to stay in these two hotels to find some action if that's what you are after but in general the whole resort (and holiday) will be chilled and relaxed wherever but nothing on the scale of the Cap if you have been there. |

Having stayed at both, we prefer Venus Star Resort. Better restaurant, excellent breakfast served till almost lunchtime, the biggest jacuzzi and the option of booking a poolside room or suite with own jacuzzi. It's also a completely different vibe staying there rather than just visiting on a day pass. A little more expensive than LM but by the time the Mirage guests have paid for their taxis and day passes to come me into Venus for BBQ days etc, probably not that much in it.
We can't imagine staying anywhere other than Venus now.

We’ve not been to Cap either. We normally just holiday all inclusive in the Caribbean but fancy something closer and for just a week.
Don’t mind just a nice hotel close to clubs and hotels with day pass either.
We just don’t want to make a bad decision and waste a holiday, if we manage to get one. |

As said, it’s not a swingers resort but a tolerant liberal resort. You’d not go far wrong camping out in and around the Yumbo Center, which is a good central location.
In normality, the Yumbo is your LGBT area, 10 mins walk to Kasbah tends to get the more 18-30 vibe with Chinawhite and Pacha. And 10 mins to cita for the main clubs. You’ve got Sandia on the way.
Finally 10 mins north takes you to macclenans and just over the bridge to the Nilo and what will be the new Eden club.
Our pick would be Buenos Aires but Las Gacelas is ok too. I’ve heard good things about playa del sol too.
Ultimately around the Yumbo for a week will put you in good proximity for a wide choice. |
