Sorry to pour cold water on the jubilation but as usual people on here either choose to mislead people or do it through ignorance by telling only half the story.
Spain have called for an EU wide response to the U.K. travel ban and have said that in the absence of any EU decision Spain will make its own decisions.
At the moment they have not imposed a ban.
The EU are meeting at 10am this morning. It’s very likely they will announce an EU wide ban which Spain will be part of.
As I am due to fly tomorrow I hope I am wrong.
Please, please, please, if you are going to post on here check your facts. There is enough Fake news in the world.

The Canarian Authorities said they were going to accept antigen tests and for a while they did. Mainland told them to stop and I believe it went to court.
Everything changes on a day by day basis and something which is true today isn't necessarily true tomorrow.
This a forum where people discuss things. Not the official communique center for the Canaries. If you are basing huge decisions on what you read in the forums or even the Canarian then you don't understand what they are for. |

This is a forum discussion. Not a courtroom trial or the presentation of a dissertation. At anyone time there are hundreds of quotes from newspapers in the Fab forums. No one takes the content as gospel. I still believe the Canarian over someone who believes they are an expert because they looked at the Yumbo webcam. |

As a person who lives in GC and has just gone through the whole residencia process I can tell you not even the authorities know what's going on. It's a mess. But somehow it's your fault... |

It’s my first holiday abroard this year as I am a key worker and also had COVID-19 a couple of months back.
It was not sure where it was a good idea to go or not
Now here in the sunshine and feeling so much better.

This used to be a section of the forum where everyone was happy a because they were about to go on holiday. It was fun, it was positive.
What's changed? Well, people are getting their flights and holidays cancelled and whilst most have accepted that this is life, some have felt the need to come onto this section and spread their unhappiness as some form of cathartic release. It's sad, it's childish and yes it's making lots of people unhappy.
In the last couple of days I've had one person wish covid on me and another hope my flights are cancelled. That's nice don't you think?
This is a forum where people discuss things. It's not an official bulletin board. I've had one non newspaper report tell me the temperature hasn't gone over 12 degrees in GC and another say it's a ghost town because of what they see on the Yumbo webcam. No one minds that.
At the end of the day, unless you attend Parliament everything you read is an account. People need to stop being so precious about the accuracy of discussions on this forum.
The is a forum on a sex site for goodness sake. If people are basing major decisions on a swinging forum the need their heads read.
BTW. The British Airways pilot informed us after landing that everyone needed to self isolate for 14 days. Now THERE is someone who actually needs to get it right. |
