Sofitel overnight testing at Gatwick

Zurich. NOT London. |
Gatwick Sofitel is open again and offering test and rest. Sample handed in before 5pm, results 12 hours later, direct to the app.
2 people, room overnight, breakfast and tests £239.
And 2 min walk to Gatwick.
How easy is that.

Just Gatwick & Heathrow so far, I'm sure other hotel chains/airports will pick up on this soon. "
If Manchester doesn't then I guess I'll be heading south to fly out in 2021 |

Gatwick only opened again today, you can book for Heathrow on the website. I did it the old fashioned way by phoning Gatwick Sofitel. Will PM the number. |

£239, thats a very good price for 2
Through traveling for work this year, I've lost count of the number of tests I've had.
Cheapest was €80 at Brussels Airport.
I have to do a self test at home before flying, result in about 16 hrs inc priority post back to testing company, e.g. Post at 5pm, results 9pm following day. cost £120
Last week in Spain, 2 walk in tests at main city hospital, €120 each discounted to €95 for my company, results in only 8 hrs ! |

Especially as that £239 includes a superior room overnight stay with breakfast at the nicest hotel at Gatwick as well as the 2 tests! |

Tui was offering 15% discount for their customers, the average cost for private PCR tests was £120 last time I looked.
I didn't follow the news though as it became clear I wouldn't be flying to Asia tomorrow, months ago.
I thought one of the London airports were offering them for £60-£80 though. |

There are other tests available at Heathrow & Gatwick, both at the airports themselves and at Sofitel, for less money. This just struck me as a good deal and as we often overnight at the airport before flying, it suits us really well. Almost adding an extra night to the holiday. |

Nobody 'guarantees' the results, all of the tests have standard disclaimers regarding delays. These tests are sent at 5pm, by courier, direct to the Lab in white city and the results are expected 12 hours later direct to the app. The reviews so far of people using the deal are all excellent. A few people saying they had results at 4am when they checked. |
