Livingcare pcr tests
Jump to: Newest in thread
We’re due to fly on 10th, was hoping the rules would change to antigen tests for GC in time for us, but it’s now cutting things too fine, so bit the bullet and ordered 2 pcr tests through jet2.
The company are who do the tests are called livingcare, I tried a google search for reviews, but didn’t find much out, so thought a thread with peoples experience of the service they offer might be helpful moving forward.
Obviously which ever testing company is used, basically your holiday is in their hands (assuming your negative), if they don’t get the results back in time, the holiday isn’t going to happen. |

Flying on the 5th they have delivered the tests told me when to take it and to send it back by priority post. Seem to be professional up to now |

I assume there won't be many reviews yet as this is the first week most people are doing it |

Yes that will be the case right now, but once things start rolling again, it will be interesting to see how things go with their service.
So far I’m impressed, had email already saying the kits have been dispatched |

Check with Jet2 especially if you use their travel insurance and use a company recommended by them you should be entitled to rebook of the test doesn't come back in time. |

"Are they still £120 a pop?
£95 via jet2
What timescale do they guarantee the results in. "
Ive looked at quite a few and NONE of them guarantee results in a certain time it's always "results in 24 hours" with "no guarantee" at the bottom. |

Standard disclaimer, they all say that. This is why we have booked an overnight test, so we have a little bit of leeway. |

Exactly that's why we have
re booked our flights for next year instead, too much drama. |

I got my test from Randox and the say 12-24 hours after Geri g the sample in their lab. They actually only took 6.5 hours
You can take the swab 72 hours before flight and send it off. There should be no issue getting it back in time. Only issue is cost. 120 £ |

PCR test result time 24-72 hours £99
Antigen test result time 1 hour £50
They have also partnered with Boots and will give a 5% discount on the PCR test.

I think it depends on who you're with. Best check with your company, if not there are companies out there who do cover Covid, you'll find them doing a Google |

Don't what ever you do send test kits back by royal mail tracked 24 it took one if ours from Saturday the 28th November until Wednesday the 2nd December to be delivered we received our negative test results at 07:08 on Thursday the 3rd of December 52 minutes before our flight took off. Unfortunately we missed the flight.
Obviously this wasn't the fault of the the company doing the tests but if their phone system or emails had been anything better than totally useless we might have bee able to make them aware of the situation.
In short your any other courier you can Royal Mail tracked 24 service isn't working. |

"PCR tests or any covid tests when you think of it are a waste of time, as soon as you have add the swab taken become invalid as you walk out the room you could catch it. Xx"
You are right, of course, but they are a requirement to get into the country,so not a waste of time, if you want to go on holiday |

Done my pcr test today.... I ordered kit last Wednesday it arrived Friday afternoon.
But a stressful time, earlier this morning. But it turned out turned out I was putting in wrong barcode online. Got to laugh or I will cry lol.
Finally did my test and then drove to Manchester to drop kit off at couriers all labelled up.... Randox do your bit now.
What can possibly go wrong now.... I didn't swab myself properly.... Or it comes back positive.
Fingers crossed I'm on that plane Thursday morning....
Is this the future... Damn you covid...?! |

It appears to be a Spanish designed test, can't find anywhere in the UK offering it. |
