Most UK clinics are offering PCR testing for travel and flight purposes.
The certificate I was issued has a unique barcode and number on it.
It was briefly checked on departure however it was not scanned, which I assumed it would be.
My final destination checked it briefly on arrival and they documented the number of the certificate.
Pretty painless exercise, except for the swab up the nose and the £175 cost of the test.
