Zurich. NOT London. |
"Didn't someone mention £6000 fine for going on holiday"
£200 fine, doubling up for each subsequent offence to a maximum of £6400.
They were checking right to travel at Heathrow yesterday. We all have to carry out work permits, company ID, proof of address in destination country and letter confirming employment, job title etc etc. |

If Lockdown does finish in December then I assume that we are OK Tipton holiday then, subject to any new restrictions of course.
We were looking at the Catarina hotel as jet 2 still accepting bookings for January, however mailed them direct and they are closed at the moment. |

Yes it will depend on local restrictions, as Boris wants to bring the tier system back if the lockdown is lifted, so it will depend on how your area is doing |

We should have been on Fuertventura this week, but as it was for pleasure and not essential travel we didn’t go. Not sure why anyone would want travel unnecessarily, but hey Ho, here’s to lockdown 3.0 |

It’s all down to timing . We flew to Lanzarote on 2/11 a few days before the lockdown so no rules broken there . We’ve had to come back though because we have a family wedding in Dec ( assuming the lockdown lifts ) but if it wasn’t for that we would have just stayed there for 2 or 3 months because we are retired and accommodation is so cheap at the moment due to desperate Landlords with empty apartments. Here in West Yorks in many areas the infection prevalence is 1k per 100k but in Lanzarote it was 25 per 100k ie 40x lower . Plus it’s a nice 20 degrees and 2 quid a pint .We are just waiting for the next lifting of the Lockdown and we are straight back out there . |
