Hey all,

Will eventually be looking to take my first dirty trip to PDI but not after vaccines etc are sorted for my own piece of mind and also I have very limited funds so cant afford to take any financial risks for a ruined holiday.

Anyway, main reason for dropping into the forum was to asking anyone has a preferred travel agent they book their package through? I've only been out of the country once in the last decade n my ex sorted it so I'm a complete newbie when it comes to sorting a holiday so any and all help is greatly appreciated haha

If it’s your first time and you want:

Simplicity: Jet2 or TUI as a package (just give the dates and pay essentially)

Save on Costs: Book flights, transfer and accommodation separately. You will have to do some homework and logistics.

Cheapest flights are typically with Ryanair but shop around. A return transfer from

Airport to hotel is about £12 if booked with them also. Otherwise €3.50 on the bus (though first time a transfer or taxi may be better).

Accommodation, a number of websites you can try LateRooms, Trivago, AirBnB, AlphaRooms and also try direct with the hotel.

There’ll be other considerations by the time a vaccine becomes available or not, but hope this helps.

Thanks this is very helpful. I reckon I'll probably go the package route just because of the extra protections. Was due to go to disney world this year with Virgin and having booked a package meant that refunds were completely hassle free.

Yes, we changed our holiday with no hassle, to next year, with a discount. I 've never done independent booking, as I like the security of a package

You’re welcome and probably a wise choice.

At least after your first trip, you’ll become familiar with the area and then your second trip (no one ever goes once ) you’ll have the confidence of the area and may go down the route of booking separately.

You are very local to me. Top Choice in Meanwood is an excellent independent travel agent. I have booked with them about three times a year for ages. Ask for Simon.

We always lucky to book cheap flights with Ryanair and never had any problems

We book a hotel that is payable on arrival so if any problems between now and the time you go then you haven’t lost any money

Some great hotels out there all depending on preference

Every agency is different so suppose it’s preference really

Xxxx
