We are here right now and this is what's happening by way of bars and clubs in pdi
Comeback bar open 8pm to 1am
Imagine bar open 8pm to 1am
Hot scandal cinema open 1pm to 1am, everything as normal but dark room closed but still lots of playing going on
Secrets open, we believe its every other night and all weekend, some facilities not open but seems lots of playing going on
Gatsby's open weekends only but as a terrace bar only,
Patricias closed
Fun4all closed
2x2 closed
Bude4 closed
Sweet moments closed
Klamotte closed
Venus resort open, bbq days as normal
La mirage open, bbq days as normal

No sun beds on the beach. Rumour going round that the government is owed substantial amount of overdue rent and until that’s paid they won’t be back (it’s a rumour you know what the Forum can be like lol) |

To me it seems it's moved. There is no big dune behind and it's not much of a walk from the lighthouse. When I walked up I aimed for the dude, not the kiosk number. Got to the dune and it was all men. Then realised I had overshot kiosk 6 and had to walk back.
Kiosk 4 was on a sandbank which had good waves for bodysurfing. This kiosk 6 is just a beach break which is a good exfoliator for the undercarriage
They tell me there is another beach on the other side of kiosk 7 which is closer from the other side. But don't know the details. |

The dunes changed dramatically last winter, we noticed that between November 2019 and February 2020 the path from the Riu hotel to K4 (6) was much flatter and your right the dunes behind seemed to have changed. People reported more changes during the first lockdown.
We took photos from the paseo and they show some differences can't wait to go back and see what it's like now. But I remember when we first went in the 80s it was a different world there. Apart from Cita and the live sex shows lol |

The reason it was so very obvious was in the first video you can't see the sea in the second you can. We didn't spend much time at the beach that visit. |

Thank you We're already planning a return trip in November, but that will depend on ever changing circumstances. Judging from the number of people posting, it will be a "postponed October" in November. Jet2 reported 5500 bookings to the Canaries within the first few hours of the corridor being announced. All very positive for tourism.
Looking back on our holiday it's been different, but amazing non the less |

I believe they are still officially closing at 1.00am and all other rules remain the same at the moment.
The lifting of quarantine applies to travel back into the UK and has nothing to do with Gran canaria |

Just got back from Cyprus which we changed from GC because of quarantine...just typical that it changed the day we got back so we could have gone anyway!!...at least we got some sun but wouldn't go back there again as it's not a patch on GC!! Booking 21st to 28th Nov in PDI or Maspalomas but does anybody know if the kiosks are open as well as the sunlounger hire?? How have the new kiosks been numbered?? |

No the kiosks are not open and no sunbeds for hire. The old kiosk 4 is now kiosk 6 "
And k7 is still 7 but k1 was at the San augustin end of the beach |

Samiss, you are the font of all knowledge lol!! The numbering system of the kiosks confuses the hell out of us. The old 4 was the third one from the lighthouse, never ventured up to the PDI ones although walked along the shore as far as PDI so not sure when the nudist bit ended. Is there any likelyhood of the Kiosks opening up any time soon?? |

Bless you some of the info is from people who have been there recently and the locals. So from PDI, k8 was where the nudist beach started and had a big sign, but in recent times , people started getting naked from k5 PDI end...the numbers were confusing as some kiosks were removed. We liked k8, because you could sunbathe nude without being pestered too much, albeit there were a few couples putting on a show
I understand the sunbed and kiosk issue is because they owe rent or taxes, so until that is sorted, I guess they so won't open, which is a shame... |
