That's a bit off the beaten track though

It’s outside of pdi. Probably 15/20 minute drive into pdi I would hazard a guess. |

Now the air corridor is in place we are hoping to get to gc in November. Possibly Venus. We like to sunbath naked and have fun if possible. Where is everyone staying? Any other recommendations? |

We're on ourlast few days in Cyprus as and alernative holiday to PDI which we had originally booked but changed at the last minute due to the corridor not being opened. Since hearing the good news a few days we're looking to going out to PDI from 21st to 28th Nov!! Are the clubs and bars open there as there's been hardly any nightlife in Paphos and they imposed a 11pm curfew from last night!! |

We are on day of quarantine after returning on 14th October.
The bars are allowed to open until 1am now and dancing etc allowed as long as distancing
Sure now we have the safe corridor from uk and Germany are on then more bars will open up |

Where are people getting the tests carried out and what is the cost please ? "
I don't think that has been put in place yet, but you can get one at a private clinic for about £60. Search 'Covid test' |

No test required, but you need a pre screening firm completed and a QR code 48 hours before travel, download the app SpTH it gives you all info you need to access Spain |

£60 ? think that may be an antibody test.
The Neg Covid test starts at £120 and goes up, depending on where you are |

Covid test, Boots, £120 results in 15 minutes, but no test currently required for GC. Tests at Heathrow for £80 results within the hour.
If Switzerland take GC off the naughty list we will sneak in a long weekend at Venus prob around the 19th. |

Well, there is a book now button on their website?
Just seen Canaria government are proposing again for a negative test (72hours) the idea has already been turned down twice. This time they have suggested that you will need it to check into your hotel. Just gotta wait and see...
We have flights booked for the 26th December, looks like Boxing Day at Boots if this goes through. |

Thanks, I ever even thought to check the website
The proposal was 48 hours before the flight and I think they are due to discuss it again on Thursday. |

I just had a look at the boots website and its not the 20 minutes test.
It says you'll get the results within 48 hours unless it's inconclusive ( probably poor sampling)
That's pretty much the best you'll get and it's why we decided to cancel our trip in December before we paid the balance
We asked both jet2 and our insurance company for advice and jet2 said IF it were a requirement ( which it isn't isn't arvthe moment) we wouldn't get on the flight without the result. The insurance said they would pay compensation if the result was positive but NOT if we didn't get the results on time which includes an inconclusive test
Too much worrying as we could have lost nearly 3k
Once they decide what's happening we'll book a cheap 1 week hopefully at the beginning of December |

The fast test isn't available till next month. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/health-54684985
According to the breaking news on The Canarian, 72 hours prior to travel. And only IF they get it through, it's been refused twice. |

Personally I'd like the added safety of knowing people had been tested before the flight given the high infection rates here as long as the logistics are in place and reasonable costs |

Best thing you can do is what i did. Im in pdi now until 15th November. To find accommodation open go directly to thier webpages and email the receptions via contact us...
They respond quickly with open or closed dates.
Thats how i booked mine separately from my flight. |

This is the reply i got after i sent this message to jet2
i have been told that the Abora Catarina the hotel we have booked is closed for the month of November. Can please confirm this or is alternative accommodation is being arranged
Thanks for contacting Jet2holidays.
After reviewing your booking I can see that your hotel is scheduled to be open on your date of travel, and therefore your holiday is going ahead as planned.
Please be assured we do have a dedicated Operations Team who deal with hotel closures, and if we were to receive a communication from the Abora Catarina By Lopesan Hotels that they were to be closed, we would be in touch with a like for like alternative hotel.

Im currently laying on my sofa in the playa del sol.
Very good location for a walk to the cita and backs onto the yumbo.
Rooms are clean and tidy althoufh a bit dated it is comfortable and has the amenities. Rooftop is nice and for naturists.

Safe trip

About Playa del Sol. It's a decent place. Not luxury but clean and staff have been pleasant. Cleaning is regular. Furnishings are basic but not too bad. You get basic kitchen equipment but not basic supplies like oil/salt/pepper. There is a small shop selling basics at the reception until early evening. Think fast WiFi and safe aren't part of the most basic offerings but fast WiFi is part of the 'premier' rooms. Nude terrace with a possibility to have fun. Close to Yumbo so you may hear sounds if /when it starts to party hard again, though it's quiet now. Have heard some 'sounds' from neighbours a few times but you can't blame the hotel for that! Also, evening onwards keyless entry by outsiders isn't possible, so guess that's some added safety overall. |

The Government of the Canary Islands has approved a decree-law stating that tourists must provide a negative Covid-19 test to stay at accommodation on the archipelago.
Either PCR or antigen tests will be allowed as proof visitors are Covid-free, as long as they comeback negative and are taken within 72 hours of arrival, states the decree – which comes into force on November 10. |

Not aware of proof required but taking my company badge as I need it anyway and letter from my local office confirming my arrival. I believe only verbal challenge may prevail at customs as not against the law to travel given exceptions announced but welcome any recent experience...Spain QR document is required.

"I’m booked from Dublin on Saturday and the flight is going ahead. Our group also downloaded the SPTH app and got QR codes.
Will we still need A Covid test arriving at our Private AirBnb, I’m confused as to what is considered holiday accommodation.
We all had Covid tests yesterday at Queens Playing Fields Belfast and are negative."
No you do not need tests. It only becomes necessary when you travel from the 14th |
