Any decent websites for rentals around this area. Looking for something 4-6 months from mid December/January onwards.
Roughly how much per month would I expect to pay for a 2/3 bed apt or 2/3 bed villa??
Any info is appreciated.

They’re open. But the situation is getting worse here quickly and we expect more restrictions soon. No idea if it will affect gyms though |

This is what I wrote on another similar thread recently.
"We prefer Playa Flamenca and La Florida.
There is a bit more going on in the quieter months and in the summer it's the same busy as everywhere else. It also has a small nudist beach.
Cabo Roig is good in the summer but can be dead in the winter. Quite a few places on the strip close out of season, while PF and especially La Florida (The Abbey and Waldemars being two of the most popular) are mostly up and running 52 weeks of the year
Torrevieja itself is a bit Marmite. You will either love it or hate it.
Further north. Guardamar is a bit more Spanish and again can be very quiet in the winter.
The La Marina urbanisation probably has more swingers than any other part of the area (you know who you are LOL) and is very convenient for the nudist beach, but again can be a bit quiet out of season. Ditto Gran Alacant.
Best advice would be to either visit the area a few times (and at different times of the year) or (if you can) rent a place for a few months and get a feel for which bit of the area you prefer.
It's much easier to get out of a rental than trying to sell up if you make a mistake." |

North of Benidorm you start to hit a more varied terrain, nowhere near as flat as south of Alicante, hence the differences in property prices.
From a Fab point of view south of Alicante wins hands down. We know lots of international visitors who come and go to their holiday homes, all pre Covid of course. |

For outdoor it's really only the dunes/woods behind the naturist beach at Guardamar/La Marina.
Finding another couple in there can be hit and miss (more often miss) but if you are looking for random sex with single guys you will always find a "Meerkat" or two.

The only one we know of is Secretos Liberal at Santomera (between Murcia city and Orihuela)
We've only been the one time and we had a decent afternoon in there.
Only problem (for us) is that it is a much longer drive than to other clubs, so we haven't given it the chance it maybe deserves. |

Main priority is somewhere safe. Not too far from seaside with some other expats.

For that we would recommend the Orihuela Costa area, just to the south of Torrevieja.
Lots going on for most of the year, very international community, good beaches (including naturist) and property prices still reasonable.
Look for place names such as Playa Flamenca, La Florida, La Zenia, Los Altos, among others. |

We recently moved to Guardamar Del Segura which is 10Km's north of Torrevija - it is on the coast, it has fantastic beaches (including a fantastic naturist beach close by), restaurants and bars. It is an mixture of Spaniards, Brits, Germans, Scandinavians and others. The town itself is quite Spanish and has every type of shop that you might require and all of the nationalities all get along very well.

Looking at Torrevieja for a long awaited "getaway" also surprise the Hubby for his Birthday in the 3rd week of May. It's somewhere in Spain we have never visited, also wondering if it is open enough by then. "I want to get Booking" lol.
An arranged social would be a bonus and a relief!! that I have managed to do this on my own lol xx |

Nothing will be open? Nonsense.
At the moment all bars and restaurants can open until 10 pm.
In our area (Playa Flamenca/La Florida) nearly all are.
As stated above, Besos club (Guardamar) is now open from 4.00 until 9.00 pm. Wednesdays to Sundays.
The only difficulty will be getting into Spain in the first place.
Once here it may be a bit quiet but it's not dead. |

We can confirm this - it is not a bad as the press make out and we feel very safe over here because people follow the rules - if they don't it can lead to a hefty fine or a clout around you head with a big Police baton |

Spain has said it is officially lifting restrictions for UK travellers from Monday 24th May, when a decree takes effect.
The Spainish government says the UK and Japan will be on a list of countries whose residents are able to avoid restrictions on non-essential travel to the EU. They will not need a PCR test.
UK tourists going to Spain will still have to quarantine on their return. |

Papua club in Albufereta, Alicante City is open again. We've been several times over the last fortnight. Open at 17.30h till 24.00h. Mondays and Fridays are busy mid afternoon. Saturday as well. Mid week is rather quiet. |

Just by way of update the Besos club in Guardamar has updated it opening times - please check their website for revised and extended times. We were there last Saturday night and it was probably the busiest night that they have had since reopening |
