"they have cancelled our return flight from Manchester to Alicante for the 2nd week in October and we have looked at alternative available dates and they are blanked out

As stated on their website,
Due to the ongoing uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the current UK government advice, we’ve also taken the difficult decision to suspend flights to Mainland Spain (Alicante and Malaga) up to and including 31 October 2020 and the Balearic Islands (Ibiza, Majorca and Menorca) up to and including 30 November 2020.
As for the Canaries, they are suspended until 26th sept |

I think most of Spain will be closed with jet2 till next year now. They are really trying to get at least one or two of the canary islands from probably November as that is the main destination for the winter period for their schedule. Believe they are still trying to get conformation for ski resorts but still to early to tell. |
