Hey all, we're looking to go to Gran Canaria. We are total newbies and we have a couple of questions. When is the season? When's the best time to go? Has anyone stayed at the Venus Star and what was it like? And... who is going next year? Lol

Zurich. NOT London.

Season is usually September through to May. Venus Star is amazing, we won't stay anywhere else now. Obviously with the current situation, lots of things are up in the air, we usually head out 3 or 4 times a year, new year, April and September plus another sneaky one if we have time.

Search Venus Star, there are quite a few posts about the resort.

During normal times October is the month when swingers invade PDI.

Look up Yumbo, Kiosk 4, Cita Centre and Venus BBQ

Many of us get into a rhythm of spending the day at Kiosk 4 and then meeting upstairs in Cita Centre before heading downstairs to the clubs.

Warning: It's really addictive!!!

Quick note, kiosk 4 is now kiosk 6, but none of them are open anyway and no sun loungers available on the beach. The club's have also just closed again for a minimum of 14 days.

Has it moved or has it just been renumbered?

The numbers never did make sense to me.

Hats off to the powers that be for taking proactive measures to keep the island safe.

For us PDI is like paradise, just more fun. OP please don't let negativity stop you from visiting this fantastic part of the world. The people are amazing and its just beautiful.

We are renting a villa and hiring a car so we can explore the island. Even if swinging is on hold and things aren't the way they used to be, it's still an amazing place to be and well worth 14 days of quarantine in my opinion.

you can go t Gran Canaria any time, we have always a good weather. Winter time is busier over here. Hotels and resrots are great too
