What’s the weather like towards the end of November early December

Our May trip was cancelled and I’m not fancying our August trip if bars, flights still have restrictions in place

So thinking of switching the August trip to the end of November & keeping my fingers crossed a 2nd wave of this virus doesn’t hit us

Like an English summer lol

Warm enough for the beach, a little cooler if it's cloudy and can be slightly chilly in the evenings but a light jacket or jumper is fine.

Probably about 20-25 daytime and 15ish at night

And the clubs are HOT

The rooms & the pool do look nice and the location to yumbo was one of the Pulls for us, easy eating out abc early evening drinks before heading to Cita

Just checked and it is available but annoyingly it’s as expensive to go late November as it is August Bank Holiday & its a night less, I know they’ve got to recoup their money but some of the prices are crazy our exact same holiday next August Is 90% more than we paid for this year

Booked 21st to Dec 5th

Just looked up the latest on wearing of masks etc and it's not good news

Still plenty of time to improve but can't see it getting any better soon

We're 5O% hope it gets cancelled and refunded but 50% we still want to go

Watched sparkles having a rant live on line last night after they got shut down by police over face masks. really feel for them we love going there

Spanish police shut him down because someone in the bar wasn't wearing a mask

They then took to social media showing all the Spanish bars not wearing masks and police walking past

He was really upset and angry. The video has now been taken down.

We are on sparkles FB group and he gives all the latest updates for pdi on there

We've heard all bars who do not serve food have been closed. Do you know if this is true?

Not heard that but when he was walking round the yumbo having his rant live on line lots of bars Inc Rickie's was shut and the centre looked deserted

Last update we had was you can remove the mask at a table to drink or eat but if not drinking or eating then you must wear the mask at all times

We've now seen that you must wear the mask by your pool or on the beach unless your sitting or sun bathing in one spot without moving

The rules have changed this week

As we understand it, to go to the kiosk for a drink we'll have to put on a mask or to go down to the sea from were your sitting for a dip you'll have to wear a mask but not in the sea

Sparkles did say on a previous update the days of the dunes for any fun have long gone and are being patrolled daily by police

Different reports do have different takes on the rules so the wife is following sparkles on FB for their updates

We still have over 10 weeks so hoping things get better

We cancelled our trip for this year, on Tuesday, and re booked for November 2021.

Masks to be worn everywhere ,social distancing, clubs closed, bars closing early, it just wouldn't be the holiday we want for PDI

Hopefully next year will be better, hopefully.

We've just had our flights booked in January cancelled and replaced them with better flights at 1/3rd of the cost.

Whether that flight ever transpires is a matter of conjecture...

Here's the choice.

Stay at home with crap weather and 100% of News about Covid? Or go to GC enjoy the beach and super weather and chill out? We will be doing the Second providing the flights are running. Sat at home all the pubs in lockdown, and cannot meet anyone family or friends. That's what is coming next. Full lockdown.Anything they do now takes 3 weeks to have any effect. See you on the beach. Hopefully

I am reminded of a Beatles song that goes:

"Sitting in an English garden

Waiting for the sun

If the sun don't come you get a tan

From standing in the English rain…"

We're planning on hiring a car and exploring the island which is something we never get to do witb the hectic club/sleep/kiosk4/eat/club routine we usually get into. Such a shame when it's such a lovely island and we never leave PDI.

If all people go for is pubs and swinging, all I can say is it won't be the same as other years but still better chances in GC where the rate is coming down amd places like Venus are still open.

If our flights go ahead, that is what we are doing. It's a relaxing holiday we are now looking for and we think we will get that in GC. Two weeks without the doom and gloom merchants is a bonus.

We're waiting to hear about our flights from J2 in Nov. Already had an offer to change the dates but we'd prefer a refund.

just watched the latest video update on FB from sparkles.

He said the cita and yumbo are closed and his video showed deserted beaches.

He said stay at home don't come save your money and time. He went on to say everywhere is empty and closed

His walkabout video updates are on sparkles FB and updates on what's happening but it would be interesting to hear from any people holidaying there now.

we've also been told by someone that the beaches are closed, is this correct.
