It would be interesting to hear from any of the bar or club owners or people have been in contact with them.
How are they managing? Is there government support. Will they still be around to reopen after all of this? Etc etc.
Instead of all they speculation on here it would be good to hear from those that know.
Boris has just announced bars and restaurants may start to reopen in the UK in July.
Although personally I have no fancy to visiting the clubs until this is all sorted out. I do hope it can all return to how it was. We all had our favourite clubs but we all loved returning to PDI how it was.

Not really sure where you head about fun4all and Comeback.
We will be at Comeback tomorrow Night for a drink and catch up.
As for the OP there is not much help for any bars out here. The government have not been any kind of help. In the News they Sound Good but they are far from it. |

Today we move to phase 1
So today is the first day bars and restaurants can open. There is a few mixed messages and no one really fully understands what can and what can’t open.
Hotels can open, we also can move between the island by air. Also yesterday we had our first flight from Madrid Land. By all accounts it was full and looks like there was a few unhappy customers as it was fully packed.
We are also planned to get our first flight of tourists from outside of Spain in July. That’s going to be a test flight using a health app. Not sure where they are coming from. Not even sure if the island government know. But that’s what they have planned. |

Thank you for the responses.
Seems like they are opening up step by step.
Probably be a long time until the clubs open, as they are in CC and underground 
Apart from that new couples one from what I understand has access to the street.

It will be interesting to see how many attend. Personally I would not fancy it this soon.

Maybe so, but it’s a very big difference from GC to the Uk. The Island have it very much under control. Even Madrid have it under control (and no one in Madrid kepted to the lockdown) |

It's great you've done so well there Are you all happy to receive tourists from other countries, who have not done so well? I guess the opening up on 6th June is for the locals? |

Everything planned is conditional, the virus 1) has not gone away and 2) very few people worldwide have immunity(which is actually only a presumed immunity) 3) Germany is experiencing rise in cases, since relaxation of restrictions and reported new cases in Wuhan. This isn't over by a long way....it will only end when a vaccine is available, or herd immunity attained. That has been blatantly obvious from the start. No doubt Countries and individuals, will take risks for commercial reasons but when you're lying hooked up to a ventilator, or grieving for a loved one....will it really have been worth it...all for the money, or worse still, a sun tan!!

Till now all look good for restaurants & bars to open in the near future but as for Swinger clubs not so good. Our club has a Licence for Disco, over 500 SM. Large places as us are in the last fase to open somewhere in June but the problem is hygiene & protection.....
We can not open a swinger club when people have to respect the 1,5 m distance, with cloves and face masks.... as the owners of the club are responsible for that and big fines will come.
We are in contact in a group for owners from swinger clubs all over spain and till now no positive news

Well I'm no expert but this a freestanding double story building with it's own grounds, swimming pool etc. Call it a bungalow, call it a Villa. What you can't call it is a hotel room.

I think that June the 6th (I thought it was the 8th) is the end of their "alarm state" and they move into the next phase of starting things back up again.
To my knowledge Fun4All usually shuts down every year in July for renovations, don't know how the timeline changes this year... |

The only problem with GC being a totally COVID-19 free island is we might might not want to come back to the UK! (enough of a problem already!!!) |

Not for us for a long time. We will survive without attending a club for a while, it isn’t the be all and end all in our lives.
For now, it is just way too much hassle!

There is also good news in that many people who had the SARS virus have antbodies that neutralise the virus responsible for covid.
This is huge. There were companies that were quite far along the SARS treatment route when SARS died out.
Note I'm talking treatment here, not vaccine.
Once you can treat COVID-19 with low mortality rates it is possible to adopt the herd immunity strategy. Business as usual. |

At the last min the Islands president told Night time bars not to open. But one or 2 bars have opened. Looks like the rest will follow in the next 2 weeks. |

Nice to see the bar owners are trying to put a positive angle on the reopening or bars and clubs, but we all know what "as....s" the local government can be.?? 2+year ago they get 1.25 million euros to put wooden posts around reserve in Maspalomas and through dunes. What happens?? They fall down, not been done right, and thanks EU for the subsidy, whoever's pocket it went into...wink wink

We think it's been getting quieter for the last few years in October. Many of the restauranteurs were complaining. The clubs were busy at weekends but not so much mid-week |

It depends what you're used to I suppose. Thomas Cooke alone reduced the numbers by a signifucant amount.
I don't think I've seen the bars and restaurants at the anexo2 as quiet since we started going there decades ago and the start of March this year was even worse for businesses. |
