Let’s get the meaning what indefinite actually means and what the Government expects.
No more than 2 month travel ban!! My reasoning for this is..... all major airlines have put employees on furlough until end of April at the earliest the U.K. government cannot afford to pay 80% of salary. Less people earning=less PAYE & less NI contribution
Don’t be fooled it will get to a point that we have to decide if the the world wide economy or the death toll will predict how we eventually overcome this virus |

Am i reading the fco advise and this post wrong!!!they havnt increased any travel ban..its just was put out at the start of the lock down...with no flights and no ferries..where are folk gonna go anyway...still wouldnt be looking at booking anything for next month..but as soon as they start realxing or starting flights..it will be well worth checking hols...stay safe.. |

I think the problem will arise that we won't be able to say when some countries are safe for travel. Perhaps in Europe and some of Asia (countries where statistics are gathered) we'll be able to say a country is 'probably safe', in Africa and the Indian sub-continent (like Goa, for example) there will be less certainty for some time. That's The Gambia off my list for a while, then. |
