We arranged a social for our first time going. It's something I would advise on as it helps with the nerves.
Cjs is great, if you chatty and like meeting people you will have no problems but if your shy and tend to stick yourself away in a corner you might feel a little awkward so I say get chatting because most are lovely but can be daunting just going yourselves so defo mention in forums when you heading to cjs and maybe get a wee pre drinks social sorted beforehand |

My partner and I went for our first time last weekend. We had fun, but we were too shy to talk to anyone, which is something for us to learn from.
We went upstairs and played with each other in one of the open rooms, and met some people that way. Weirdly, it was more comfortable for us to make eye contact and smile and say hi while in that context.
The advice I would give is that, as nerve-wracking as it might be, try talking to people downstairs. I think the kitchen and bar might be the easiest places to start a conversation, as in the lounges, people seem to group up with others they know, which is only natural, but makes saying hi more intimidating.
If you want to go upstairs and have fun, just do it. We just sat down and started kissing and touching each other, and as other people came in and out and watched and had their own fun, it felt pretty comfortable and enjoyable.
Really hope you have fun - and maybe we’ll see you there some time in the future. |

"Looking for advice and how people enjoyed there first visit to CJs. A little nervous going but keen to try it out. Excited for going. Any advice appreciated. "
We've been twice now to the couples nights and everyone there we spoke to was absolutely lovely. Like you, we were also very nervous; but you'll be absolutely fine. The chances are there will be people there who also have never been before. You'll be surprised just how casual it is and with a good friendly atmosphere. X |

"Maybe we will end up going at the end of the month some time. Be sure to give you a shout. That be nice going with regulars xx"
If we having socials pre drinks or heading to cjs we will put on forums and sometimes set up a kik group for some fun and laughs beforehand . So keep look out x |

My advice would be the same as above really. Introduce yourselves to people and you'll be fine. Everyone is very welcoming. Oh and don't drink too much.
If you are going this weekend there is a forum post up of other people going. It looks like it will be a good crowd and someone might be able to meet for a pre-drink. Sadly I won't be this time so can't personally offer.
If you do end up there, say hi
H xx |

It was our first time on Saturday and it was fantastic.
We were both nervous at times before we went but as soon as you walk through the door it’s just so relaxed.
Don’t over think things. We were wondering what to wear, what drink to bring, do we bring toys, do we get the taxi to drop us right outside etc etc
None of it matters wear what you like, drink what you like, bring toys if you like and get dropped off right at the door
Any questions then feel free to ask, we are far from experts having only been once but we can relate to exactly how you’re feeling |

We have been a few times and honestly everyone has been so very friendly. We have met couples there and also met for socials and headed to Cjs with them. We are always up for chatting to new people so if you see us there just come say hi xx |
