We changed from a 2015 A4 diesel Sline to C class Blackline estate last year.
I always loved the Audi but the specs on the merc wipe the floor with the audi.
Audi twat nav is garbage always has been. It's not very user friendly.
I did like the feeling of the A4 though the merc steering feels heavier.
The merc is rear wheel drive compared the A4 unless you get the quattro.
I'm an Audi fanboy and I have C5 RS6 as a toy but the merc is a fully loaded daily driver.
Then there is the new Peugeot.
I had one as a hire car a couple of weeks ago and I have to this was amazing in the inside.
Got to Stansted airport on 1/4 of a tank. Very impressive mpg. |

The Skoda is probably the best option, its basically the Audi under the skin but you will get more for your money. Look at the road tax price before you decide as it can also go with the value of the car (luxury car tax). If it's a new car look at the PCP cost as it may be a better option, I wouldnt go for PCP on a 'previously enjoyed car' as the balloon payment at the end will be far more than the value of the car. Interest rates of banks are low just now compared with finance so that might be worth a look. |

Up until quite recently we had an Audi A4 Avant S Line. Best car we’ve ever owned. We’re now in the same position as Stag117, looking for something of a similar size. Current front runners are Mercedes or BMWs. |

Mate we have a pool Volvo in the work and its surprisingly very nice to drive, dont get me wrong it's not a fanny magnet but if your looking for a comfortable work horse, you wouldnt go far wrong. It's done 80 000 with no problems |

I spend most of my time inside the car and the Mercedes is head and shoulders above them both aesthetically. My only gripe is the cost of replacing the run flat tyres with premium ones when they need changed

Don’t think we’d get another Audi just yet. The last one had every bell and whistle going, so would need to get at least that again to not feel we’ve traded down. Might end up with something smaller and sportier for a couple of years, seeing as we are both hitting the mid-life crisis age |

Always had Audi. Usually had at least one on the drive but I'll never have another. Last two were bought new and turned out complete shite. Worse was the terrible after-sales service and the idiots trying to treat me like an idiot. I'm an aeronautical engineer so being told bare faced lies was particularly annoying.
I've owned Volvos. Quality isn't what it used to be but they get the job done.
Never owned a Skoda but the badge wouldn't stop me. Taxi drivers love them, especially the Octavia and Superb.
Currently own an E-class diesel estate. Can't fault it but it is heavy on brake pads and disks. |

Sounds like the skoda could be your best option. As others have said, a good spec for the money and basically an Audi underneath.
I’ve heard Audi and vw aren’t very happy with Skoda right now as they’re under cutting them with higher specs haha |

Having had an Audi S line before if i was ever tempted to buy another from the Vw/Audi group I'd probably look at a VW or a Skoda. More car for your money. Recently changed to a BMW 3 series M sport and it a brilliant car to drive. |
