Ultimate Uniforms Deuxième Partie!
Hello all you sexy fabbers 
After many of you asking, and our disappointment at not being able to throw a Halloween social, we are super excited to announce we ARE hosting another Dundee Social on Saturday 16 May 2020!
Ultimate Uniforms Deuxième Partie! Part two! Our last 'Ultimate Uniforms' social was so good that we're doing it again and we can't wait to see you all in sexy uniforms! We'll have some great prizes for best dressed. Any uniform goes, or come as you like, fancy dress is always optional, but fun is not!
We've got a DJ for the night, a buffet and a private venue organised! All you have to do is come and mingle with friendly, like minded people from all over Scotland.
This will be a 'no play' social event in the centre of Dundee, close to the train station, the bus station, and several nice hotels.
We like a good mix of males, females and couples so will be limiting the number of single guys to match the number of single females. You must also be a verified member of fab.
All proceeds, and donations on the night, will raise money for Marie Curie, a charity very close to our hearts.
A non refundable payment of £15 per person is required to secure your place on the guest list, you will not be added to the list until payment is received.
So if you'd love a great night out with lots of fun, flirting, frolicking and meeting fab friends message us for payment details.
We can't wait to do it all again, let's have another fabulous night!

On reflection it looks like our Halloween Social thread wasn't clear enough, it was meant to be a gauging interest thread because at no point had we ever booked a venue or confirmed the event or asked anyone for payment. Yes it was a late decision not to go ahead but we couldn't because we didn't have a venue. Sorry we didn't realise you had made such detailed plans, we wouldn't ask anyone for payment or to make plans unless we have confirmed it's going ahead.
On this occasion we are happy to confirm we do have a venue booked and the social will be going ahead, payment messages are going out to those putting their names down and quite a few people have paid and are confirmed on the guest list already.
We hope this reassures you this is definitely going ahead and we're sorry for your previous experience.

I always arrange a presocial drinks just for this very reason. I will put info in here a bit closer to the time. |

To be fair you did take deposits and also stated in a forum post a month or so beforehand that even although you were still working on a venue people should get prepared for it to go ahead then didn’t post up for a while.

Can we please stick to the facts, it's very important people know the truth.
We only ever received ONE payment and we never asked that person to make a payment, or sent any payment details to them. In fact those posting on the forum were specifically told we will not be sending out payment details until the venue is confirmed. This payment was refunded before we announced that we regrettably could not secure a venue.
An update in the post 10 weeks prior to the proposed event stated "we'll try our very best to sort a venue this week so you can all go ahead and start getting ready for the social". Now this definitely could have been worded better, we meant once a venue is sorted THEN you can all start getting ready for the social. Poor wording on my behalf. We would never ask for money or for people to book things without having a venue confirmed.
At the end of the day we're just trying to get a lot of awesome and like minded people together to have a great night, it takes a lot of time and planning, but we love doing it just so everyone can have fun and money is raised for a great cause. There was absolutely no intention for anyone to loose out on anything and bringing it up now on a thread about a new social can have such a negative impact on making this night successful.
Fortunately we have a great track record of managing the socials and hundreds have kindly supported them and continue to do so, as do the wonderful new people that attend. They all know we are genuine honest people that are just doing our best. We are not to blame if someone takes it upon themselves to make plans and payment for an event that has not yet been confirmed. Even though this is the case we still feel bad about it and have apologised.
If anyone has any doubts or queries please pm us directly, so we can allow this thread to be about the upcoming social.
We are very much looking forward to organising another event and hope you are all looking forward to the night!

To be fair you did take deposits and also stated in a forum post a month or so beforehand that even although you were still working on a venue people should get prepared for it to go ahead then didn’t post up for a while.

I've been to quite a few socials organised by the OPs, and I can vouch that they are honest people just trying to give others an opportunity to meet and have fun.
It was unfortunate that the last social had venue issues leading to its cancellation and I am not put off attending other events organised by them. As Kat has stated, perhaps the communication could have been clearer and they have apologised for that, plus any hassle caused. No one was defrauded or misled in any way.
I'm looking forward to this night, and obviously those who are unhappy about last time are not obliged to attend.

Have been lucky enough to have been involved with a few socials organised by OP.
Don’t believe they tried to dupe anyone and it was unfortunate that the last social had some issues.
If you don’t trust them then quite simple. Don’t get involved with this social!!! |

A regular ‘friend’ of mine organises pre drinks before hand in a local bar. Info of that will be posted nearer time. It’s good for breaking ice before heading to the social  |

Just a wee update regarding the current coronavirus situation.
At present the social is definitely going ahead.
As we don't know what the future holds, and it may be out of our control, we have taken the decision to make your payment REFUNDABLE, should we be forced to cancel the event.
We will be closely following government guidelines, and our venue's policies, and should it not be possible to hold the social we will then provide the refund.
We hope this assures you all that if the worst case scenario happens you will not be out of pocket. Please note a lot of hotels in Dundee are also offering new refund policies for existing and new bookings to give guests flexibility.
If you have not yet booked or paid please be assured your payment is refundable should the event not be able to go ahead.
At present we are very hopeful the situation will be more positive by the time the social comes around.
Please do not hesitate to pm us with any questions.
In the meantime keep well and keep your hands clean

Like everyone else in the UK right now, we are unsure what the next few months will bring and hope that all of our fab friends are safe and well at this difficult time.
It looks highly unlikely that any of us will be meeting or socialising anytime soon and the social event planned for Saturday 16 May will NOT be going ahead.
We are facing the possibility of limited movement across the UK for several months and think the earliest that we should consider for an alternative date is September.
Another Halloween Social in October is probably the best option.
We are hoping that the venue will allow us to move the date, rather than cancel the booking, so that we don't lose the deposit.
In the meantime, we can either refund your payment or hold it as your payment for the next event.
If you have already paid, please let us know if you would like a refund and we'll get it to you as soon as we can.
Thanks for your support and understanding and we hope that we are in a position to announce an alternative date in the near future.

Hi sorry for the delay in replying but we were hoping for some news on this lockdown relaxing. Hope everyone is keeping well. What do you think the chances of the Halloween meeting going ahead? Would we best just get our deposit back and pay for the next social if/when it finally happens? |

We have taken the decision to not go ahead with Social. We don't see it being likely that large events will be able to go ahead any time soon and with social distancing measurements required it would be impossible to hold a safe social.
Today we have refunded everyone's payment, as we don't want to hold on to it with no date for the future.
For the time being we are not thinking of organising any events until circumstances improve regarding covid, and goodness knows when that will be.
If you have any questions or there are any issues with your refund please pm us. We've not been on fab much lately because we are not meeting but we will be keeping an eye out for your messages.
We've absolutely cherished your support for the event and do hope we can all meet up sometime next year!
