some peoples voices are only suited to certain types of songs depending on the notes they can hit

I have a lovely voice singing slow songs/Scottish songs/ kids Disney songs but not so much up beat songs, broken record with scratches is how I sound . My brother is a Rapper and he said Naw stick to the slow singing however I don't like slow depressing music, I love and I can Dance and shake my booty gbx and club music, fast paced music,. It's just how I'm wired lol

I couldn't agree more but what I've learned over the years is songs off types mean something to somebody

I was once a karaoke compère and would have to blast out all sorts of tunes.....but the same folk would come back each week and sing the same song - highlight of their week!! And it was always a sad song haha

I love singing and I'm very happy hogging the mic at karaoke. I sing songs I like that I'm confident with. Sometimes they can be a bit sad I guess but I try not to.

Just depends on my mood at the time

Best karaoke I ever saw, definitely not sad, was quiet old d*unk guy in the corner springing into life at end of night for glorious rendition of Patricia the Stripper with full theatrics!

See those are the golden moments of karaoke! It's not just for "good" singers. Everyone can enjoy having a go

If no one else is going to ask to borrow you at bedtime, I will.
