28 day waist shrinking planking challenge 2020

Did this last year via bookface and lost almost 3 inches off my waist. Didn't keep it going though and back to square 1 so doing it again this year

Basically you do a plank every day for 28 days starting with 20 seconds and increase your time each day. You measure your waist at the start, weekly and at the finish. Its not a weight loss tool, just a way of toning up your core muscles

Can send details of the fb page if anyone wants to join me

How much time do you increase each day?"

Last year was suggested increase 5 seconds a day, this year she is saying 4 but whatever you feel comfortable with really. Can always repeat a day if you need to

I lost almost 3 stone on SW and never starved. You still eat normal food, just prepare it from scratch yourself so none of the fat and sugars in processed stuff

Cut out processed foods, then try and keep 3/4 of your calories plant based.

Without going in depth that is the best thing you can do.

Lost 3.5 stone last year over 6 months and did it by cutting out fizzy drinks even diet ones, crisps, biscuits, microwave meals basically all the crap.

Did calorie counting and looked at 1800 and targeted losing 1-2 lbs per week. Achieved it joined a gym in August to get toned.

More importantly the weight has stayed off.

It is small lifestyle changes which are successful in the long run.

Somewhere nearby

I know the woman who does the planking challenge (not in any Fab way though!).

Used to go to kickboxing classes that she did years ago and occasionally go to an outdoor exercise group that she runs. She’s pretty inspiring

It’s a new plan I’ve been following, and it’s been working wonders, it sculpts the body as you lose weight, but my loss has been faster than anticipated, so need to tone stomach area a lot more.

Basically you do a plank every day for 28 days starting with 20 seconds and increase your time each day. You measure your waist at the start, weekly and at the finish. Its not a weight loss tool, just a way of toning up your core muscles

I would recommend some basic yoga stretchs. Its very important to warm your muscles up before doing exersise. Greatly reduces the risk of muscle damage and other injury. There are plenty of videos on youtube. Theres a lady called Adriene who does loads of short classes from beginer thru to more advanced, plus she quite hot too.

It's more to do with sticking to a healthy eating plan rather a diet, go for something you can maintain, consistency is the key, cardio at the gym is good but don't kill yourself doing it, out of breath but can still string a sentence together is a good starting point.

Start off with cutting g out all the crap.

Sugary sweets and snacks.

3 meals a day and plenty of water.

That will kickstarter your plan with some exercise.

Great way to start. Drink as much water as you can. It helps you feel full and cleanses all the toxins from your body. Dont go crazy with the exersise to begin with, ease yourself into it. Do something you will enjoy and set yourself targets to reach. Make it enjoyable....

Dont expect to be super flexible after a few goes. That takes a long time to achieve. Ive been doing it for a few years on and off and I am still not that flexible. What it does is helps with blood flow around your body. And learn to breathe properly.

It's tough and you need to focus the mind as well.Pilates isn't easier but there is less focus on the mind. But none are easy as it looks. I just managed the downward dog.

There is a lot of spiritual thinking about yoga. I think people kid on they are better people for doing it. Maybe so, it is very relaxing. Some nice background music helps. If doing it in the house, make sure the room is pretty warm. It helps with the muscles. You just need to keep at it. There are about ten moves that will get you a started and you can add more once you are comfortable with them......
