"We'll have matching tee shirts on with pictures of pampas grass on the front. If you see us say hello....!
What day are you going?"
Not sure yet what we're doing. May be looking to purchase so probably opening day so we can go back if we need to. |

Personally I wouldn't pay to attend, it's a joke what they charge to attend just to see what's on offer. Contact one of the exhibitors and ask them if they've any free passes as you'd like to come look at a few of their vans went a few times before and it's mostly just vehicles. Goto the same show in the NEC and it's actually got interesting stalls but they just don't travel to Glasgow

The SEC Show is just a dealer show and imo a waste of money the NEC Show however is a manufacturer show and great deals can be had there if your in the market for a van, we saved thousands there last year when we ordered ours with a special show deal |

NEC show has more of a buzz around it, been twice but tbh if you ask any company for show deal at any point they'd give you then rather than see you walk away

You would think that but we found that not to be the case, Scottish dealers were particularly awkward to deal with and some would just not budge on retail/screen price and when you are talking a 55K+ purchase any savings to be had are very welcome, down south they were more certainly more flexible but the down side to that is the return to dealer warranties therefore a good deal in England means returning there for warranty work as unlike car purchases this industry the dealers are also awkward as in what they will and will not repair especially if you didn't buy it from them
We got the right deal in the end thankfully and now love our new Camper
Anyone thinking of such a big purchase we urge you to shop around and really do your homework, shows are fantastic venues to get in as many different brands as you can in one location but charging entrance for it doesn't make sense to me as it just a huge sales showroom and of benefit to the dealers |

"Yeah I'm always surprised at people who just hand over the cash for a shinny new van without getting a deal
John "
Me to
This year more than ever the dealers will have to work for their money as new Campers/Motorhomes now fall under a new luxury road tax system which means road tax has risen from £265 a year to £2135 in the first year and £465 a year thereafter until it is 6 years old, ours missed this by 5 weeks phew! |

I'd never buy a new camper, I'd rather buy something old and throw my cash at it so it's unique but not everyone can do that in the real world
