This is the third time the wee yin has changed the list. I’m roughly mid way through the Christmas shopping. The stress is unreal!!!

Some folk are all bought and wrapped, others haven’t bought a thing (mostly men).

Where are you with your Christmas shopping and what item is at the top of your list?

Shangri-la

I'm getting through it I think. Got a few still to buy but I'm hoping to get those sorted tomorrow. Then it'll be a marathon wrapping session on Wednesday night.

I made my kids write letters to Santa at the end of November and said once those are sent they can't change their minds.

my shopping was finished over a month ago & all wrapped .

I had surgery almost 4 weeks ago so wanted to be prepared incase of complications which Im glad to say there wasnt any .

Im also heading off for a bit of winter sunshine this weekend so got all the Christmas dinner in last week with just a few last minuet fresh items still to buy once Im back home.

I dont actually have anything in particular I want for Christmas other than my kids around my table and happy after yet another horrble year with the passing of my wee dad ... the older you get its the memories you want rather than gifts Xx

It’s only fun when they believe in Santa. The excitement is unreal, think I only have this year...hopefully next year too before I have a house of non believers.

I have one of those....asked for a unicorn last year....Half expected Mr to nick a wee pony from a nearby field and staple a horn to its napper.

I hear you! She’s more of a terrorist than a child with unrealistic ransom requests.

I saw a party planner pass a donkey with a dildo strapped to its head off as a unicorn, you could try that!

My family keeps growing thanks to my two eldest adult kids, 4 grandkids ages 1,2,4 and 5 plus my 2 kids still at home 6 and 14.

Stressed out my box because my boss princess wants iPhone 10, miniture piglet a real one , a sewing machine, slushy machine, new TV and that's all

The 2 granddaughters 4 & 5 want iPhones too (damn you YouTube), LOL dolls and hatchimals.

Then we have my 14 Yr old son into all things designer, armani watch, carrera mountain bike, armani tracksuit, £195 trainers and customised football boots with his name on them, 5 things only and costing over £700.

Gone are the days of barbie dolls, toys at reasonable prices and primark / officers club clothes.

When did kids taste in stuff become so expensive.

We have the bike and TV and few little things but as for iPhones x 3 not a chance I don't even have an iPhone 10, so on look out for apple stickers and will be buying android phones and hopefully they not that clued up to notice hahaha.

Not doing the nieces and nephews as there are 8 of them and I have enough with my own. Scrooge much

I officially hate Xmas, money making racket.

Can I have the piglet when she gets bored of it?

Pigs are one of my favourite things!

I know they are so cute but I'm more in the know with dogs, know nothing about piglets. I wouldn't even know where to get one, I've not even looked to be honest haha she wanted a kangaroo last year, unicorn year before, hate to think what she will want next year. Hahaha she has a bunny called twilight sparkle, a bird called tweeky pie and we had a dog called pinky pie (we changed it to Amber when out walking ) lol

4 or 5 things to get but mostly done I know my eldest is going to sigh at whatever she gets (typical teenager) so I just went for the proverbial "vouchers" for her this year and a couple of wee things to open. The other 2 , well let's just say much much easier to please

Omg. Love this thread. Pmsl at some of the madness. Which it is. So glad both of my kids are old enough that “You want what? Feck off!” isn’t considered abusive.

My daughter has already had her presents ! Make up and that was also stuff for her birthday best part of £200 she will get another 150 for her cxhristmas and another 200 for birthday and the usual toiletries and pjs to open on the day, my eldest wanted a switch so he’s already got that ! Yep I’m not a surprise kinda person hahaha and he will get a few toiletries etc to open and night pick up another game for him

The middle one hasn’t told me what he wants just asked what the budget is for Christmas and it’s usually around 300 each and birthdays I can and do stretch a little more depending on the birthday but so far I haven’t bought anything else lol ?? I’m soooo last minute because as I said above surprises aren’t my thing
