Absolutely agree, who decided that us, Europeans have hairy armpits? Where I come from, ladies were waxing, doing Hollywoods including bum holes ages ago....... I don't like men with hairy armpits it seems to me that somehow it is ok for men but not women: why??? |

I didn’t realise women had a different genetic code to men that meant shaving armpits is necessary to reduce smell. I presumed that since humans are essentially the same except for some reproductive bits, having hairy armpits on whatever s*x wouldn’t affect the smell. Did my biology degree fail me? Or is it just accepted that men can be hairy smelly beasts and still get a leg over, but women have to have child-like smoothness and smell like daisies at all times?

Use to work in France late 80s and had a couple of girlfriend out there and they didn't shave and I loved it.
Would happily go with a girl with hair to me it was very sexy and I still do |

I no longer shave my armpits. They still smell nice, because I keep them clean. It's not difficult. God forbid a woman isn't smooth all over, but shaving under my arms irritates them; I personally like the look of the hair anyway. I'm capable of not being put off by something just because a majority say I should be. The whole armpit-licking phenomena does less than nothing for me either, so no issue there.
If someone thinks my armpit fuzz makes me unattractive and therefore don't want me to give them an orgasm, it's no skin off my nose! (Or no hair off my armpit?) |

Well personally , I rather like the smooth hairless look and no hair feel , I refuse point blank to go back in time and look like a cave woman.
Been hair free since my teens and just couldn't picture myself with a hairy vajayjay. I don't wear sleeved dresses or tops when I go out so don't think it looks good all dolled up in a lovely little number and hair protruding from my armpits, just not my style. |

I kind of just do whatever, I definitely don't shave every day, or even every week but my hair doesn't really grow that fast. I tend to shave it all the way down then let it grow back for a few months, but my few months is the same as most women's few days. I've grown them out before and unfortunately don't get the lovely bushy hair, I just have some little stragglers which in my opinion is the worst of all the options. Super happy to meet with people or all hair situations, I just wish that if I wanted to grow it out it wouldn't look like a 13 year old boys chin  |

I really applaud the women on here who have taken the natural approach. It takes a confidence I (and I imagine plenty other women) just don't have.
There is so much pressure on us to look a certain way. I shave everywhere most days in the shower, not because I, really want to, but because I feel I have to. At 36 years old I shouldn't feel like that, but I do.

It doesn't bother me in the slightest. In fact, on a beautiful woman it's quite intriguing, perhaps because, in my personal experience, it's quite uncommon.
I'm a little disappointed by the way a lot of men react to it, though (as evidenced by this thread), with childishly performative disgust. |

I like my underarms unshaven. My skin gets mega easily irritated, I'm not giving myself painful itchiness battling what my body does naturally, to satisfy someone else's ideal. It smells fine, personal hygiene isn't any more of a problem than bare pits! |
