If someone posted a video of you...

"Without your permission? What would you do? Even if you are not actually recognisable in said video?? I have saw many female videos on male profiles and have reported them as I think its wrong  "
Was any action taken though? Are the videos/profiles still there? |

Never had it happen to me with videos. Some pictures have popped up with me in it though. After asking the poster to take it off, they did. So even though I think it's wrong to put it up in the first place, it was easy fixed.
A lot of people don't realise, even if you're unrecognisable to most, it's just wrong to post it without the other person's consent.
If you ask him and he won't remove it, isn't that a criminal offence? Mention that and I'm sure it'll be gone in no time x |

usual time is 24/48 hours depending how busy they are but just keep reporting |

As far as I’m aware using sexual images of a person is illegal now. No laughing matter and enforceable, I appreciate that may not be easy but deplorable this happened to you. Likewise hope you get it sorted x |

I wouldnt be happy however you have consented to be in this video and as it's their recording equipment then legally they own the rights, unless there was a document agreed before videoing.
No one can actually copy right themselves. You cannot stop anyone either from videoing you if it's in a public or on their property.
It's not unlike some people quoting the Sydney University quote. It's a load of nonsense. A. We are not governed by Aus rules and B.as soon as you post a pic it's in the public domain therefore you have to legal right over that pic unless you copyright yourself legally.
I wouldnt be happy though, have you asked them to take it down? |

I've had it happen to me with photos that the person should never had known existed & posted all over the place including being sent to colleges @ my workplace at the time. I no longer allow any photos never mind videos.
It's not nice & can be very damaging to a personal life. |

You’re way off the mark here I’m afraid.
The offensive behaviour and sexual harm act that came into force in 2017 specifically covers the sharing of intimate images also known as “revenge porn”.
Just consenting to being filmed or having photos taken does not mean that you are consenting to them being shared.

Suppose it would depend if we were asked in the first place. If we werent reconisable then it wouldnt affect us.. so no faces or blanked off would be fine. Aslong as they had our permission. But i would report it if you feel uncomfy |

Same, and I recently bollocked my ex buddy for posting old pics of me on his profile. He felt because my eyes were blacked out that was fine  |

As a photographer I'd never post any image or video without the other persons knowledge or permission. And even with that permission I'd happily remove it if asked. However not everyone has the same morals so if worried at all do not allow images to be taken in the first place. Once that image is on the net you lose control of it |

As many have said you need permission from the "model" for posting intimate images regardless of intention. The odd thing here is the guy has known the o.p. for a while and has blown what was obviously a good arrangement over a video. |

Unless it is you in the video, what makes you think you are in a position to report them? How do you know the female in the video or picture didnt give the guy permission to post them?
Just because you dont like it, doesnt mean it's wrong. Next time it might be better to not look that profile anymore and maybe block them. |

You will be recognisable to someone and you never know who is using this site that could recognise you.
If I were you and only if I were you since it is you in the video and you did not give them permission, I would report them to fab admin. I would then contact the person with the video and ask them to delete the video or at least never post them online again and remind them of the laws about posting explicit content of someone o line without their permission. |
