We have a log burner in the living room and absolutely love it.
It's cheaper to run than putting the heating on. £60 for an IBC cage full of seasoned wood. This will last about 6 months constant use.
Only down side it needs emptied ever three days. |

"A glass of wine in your hand snuggled up with a curvy woman in front of the log fire...hmmm"
Well, I have a mug of tea and a cat. That'll have to do |

"Nah ... it's a fan that works with convection so when the fire heats up the fan starts spinning and throws out hot air making it even more efficient at heating the hoose"
I need this |

"Than a coal fire?
(Especially when your heating isn't working)homemade lentil soup with tiger bread usually hits the spot for me."
Tiger bread is my weakness. |

"A toasted ootsider slathered in butter
Plain bread?"
Course ...I used to knick both ends when I still lived at home...would hear my wee Da effin and blindin from the kitchen "that wee bastard's been at the loaf again!" |

Prefer a log burner
Why?"
There something warming about the crackling of burning wood. The smell and the warmth given off and the flickering light. Nothing beats cuddling up infront of it and stripping |

It's the best bit! |

Heck no. My mum had a coal fire back in the day, and the coal bin outside attracted woodlice in droves, scunnered me. The dust and ash was messy too. I'm happy to be able to stay indoors and lazily flick a switch to get the house warm!
Cuddled up under a duvet in the dark, watching movies while snuggling with my man is the best way to keep toasty, though.
