Edinburgh

Not seen any yet but I am not a fan of Christmas ads.

To me, they are over the top and not representative of most family situations.

Yes of course they do and im happy for them but the point was these adverts can make poorer, less fortunate folk feel like shit.

Those folk who feel like shit are looking in the wrong place for happiness, or trying to be happy in the wrong ways.

They're not gonna appreciate tucking into that instead of turkey and trimmings though

Couldn't care less about the Christmas ads but that wee cat and dog having a cup of Tetley crease me up every time. My cat talks exactly like that one. Same snippy attitude too.

The best one to me will always be the single man listening to the tapes his mother made in advance before she died on Christmas morning. I found it very moving.

I'm not a fan of the John Lewis ad. The Sainsbury's one is the only other one I've seen and that's not bad.

My favourite is the JL ad where the wee boy can't wait for Christmas day to arrive so he can give his present to his parents.

I like the Jet 2 pre Christmas advert and TUI for 2020 holidays. Just wait till B&Q start the garden preparation adverts for 2020 and the slimming world adverts. Watch this space
