Aviemore and regularly visit Glasgow |
Winking owl has nice food and good beer as owned by Cairngorm brewery (you can also visit brewery for tasting and tour, in the industrial estate).
Mountain cafe is great for lunch but relatively expensive and buuuussssyyyyy, although not as bad in November.
Route 7 (above highland home centre, also in industrial estate) is also good for lunch - tasty and not so pricey!
Old bridge inn is really tasty but very very pricey and small portions - fine if you want a fancy meal but not a huge feed.

And don't forget the Cairngorm Hotel, opposite train station. Love this place, although apart from Harley weekend, I haven't been since I moved away 3 years ago but sure it's still as good |

"Going up for long weekend commencing Friday 22nd November. Anyone recommend good place to stay and restaurants ??" All the pubs around there are decent. Winking owl or old bridge best for eating out. Bar meals are all pretty decent everywhere else. All depends wgat you like. Enjoy.
