Why do people always recommend meeting for a Coffee? I can't think of a worse beverage to meet someone over.
Please come meet me over a coffee, I like my conversations to be abruptly interrupted by an overwhelming need to do a shite. |

I don't think it needs to literally be a coffee... the site reccomends meeting someone in a public place first for safety reasons... thanks for sharing the graphic effect coffee has on you though |

"I would tather meet in a relaxed bar. Last time a guy took me to a coffee shop the tables were too close together and full of women chatting loudly. It was like sitting in a school canteen. "
Yeah definitely a bar for me. Coffee is too formal and like you say full of people just going about their day. Get caught out trying to ask a question
"I'M SAYING HOW DID YOU GET INTO THE DOGGING!!" |

People like coffee plus coffee shops usually serve tea hot chocolate etc
Most people like to meet in a public place and not everyone wants to sit in a pub |

meeting "for a coffee" I think is suggesting a daytime meet. Meeting for a "Drink" is more late afternoon/evening. Generally, it's suggestive of a public space where one can escape if the other person turns out to be a catfish |

you just need to pic a public place you both feel comfortable in.
Lots of coffee shops have layouts for a chat. Bars can be the same all crowded and too close.
Just need to find the right place |

"First meet always social...females safety is a priority these days. Coffee/ tea or social drink breaks the ice and in a public place then see how things go...simple"
Well i disagree here....
Females safety isnt a priority... everyone's safety is a priority |

"Tea and scones or coffee for us. The high naughty factor of meeting strangers, potentially for sex, in a quiet tea or coffee shop mid afternoon makes it worthwhile. "
We met for a social in a coffee shop recently - I think our conversations turned a head or two at neighbouring tables! Oops! |
