If they don't reply after reading, I wait a couple of days, because women get a ridiculous amount of messages.
If no reply after 2-3 days, I delete and assume they're not interested.
No biggie.

The site clearly states a non response is a polite no thanks. Blocking is often done to save repeat messaging, saves both parties time. Maybe familiarise yourself with site etiquette OP. Good luck and happy fabbing   |

Women message me and just say 'Hey'.....which makes me automatically think engaging in a conversation with them would be like watching paint dry. So i just delete it. Which i'm sure is the same they're doing when you just say 'Hi'...... |

It's got fuck all to do with being polite. Not replying is not being impolite. Replying and saying "that's a shite first message would be impolite".
There was a thread on here the other day about the volume of messages some women get. In The Lounge, some claim to get hundreds a day but I reckon for the rest of us it could be 15-30 odds on a "good" day? Maybe?
Would you honestly take time out of your day to reply to 30 messages that simply said "hi"?

It’s not just being polite though as sometimes they try to talk you into chatting with them or if I say I’m chatting to enough they laugh and say I wasn’t wanting to chat which just irritates me when I’m being polite.
Oh and if the men did all leave the site women would just get on with it and still have fun  |

The sad reality is that a lot of these idiots wouldn't know what to do if a woman did say yes or take them up on one of their crap offers .
The amount of times I've read about women putting up meets etc and being inundated with can you do a different day /time etc or the person being absolutely not what they are looking for.
A lot of us don't bother reading or replying as it's far better to look for ourselves. Diamonds are rarely likely to just land on your lap... |

Well I do strive to send polite and respectful descent messages, I had manners beaten into you see. However when I do send them, probably 90 percent of the time they are ethier blocked or deleted if I'm extremely a lucky I may achieve a response. Sometimes I receive abuse maybe they are bored. This is in an interesting one. |

Over the last ten years i have sent pretty much every iteration of a message to females and couples. One word, funny, long messages, complimentary, straight to the point ......you get the idea.
When it comes down to it IF the recipient wants to reply or even feels like it they will if they don't they don't. There is no magic formula for getting a reply from anyone. Females and couples are picky, fickle and have the weight of choice on their side. Does that stop me messaging? Nope; but I won't stress about it. |

Think I apply the same rule as I would if meeting someone in a club; the number of times, some guys approach Ian about me (clearly wanting to play) he tells them “go talk to her!”
They then just hover or sit near but don’t say anything
Even a basic “I like your outfit/have you been to cjs before/what’s your name” SOMETHING, then I consider chatting.
If you can’t even strike up a basic conversation, why would I even want to consider playing? Just my preference as I know some ppl prefer the anonymity and play.

Most try and be polite but some females get 100s of msgs aday and believe it or not they have lifes outside of fab to sit and reply 2 every single msg would take up 80% of the day maybe try and look at things objectively not just from your own point of veiw |

If he hadn't named the post "ignorant people" he might have gotten some different responses. Can honestly understand the frustration, I know it can be a bit soul destroying to never get a response, or get a rude one back (I know there's plenty of those as well). But don't tar everyone with the same brush and maybe look at it from our perspective as well. It is not rude on here to not reply back, I started off thinking it's the decent thing to do anyway to reply, besides the "fab etiquette", but it backfires 9 out of 10 times, so I stopped.
OP the best way to change this is be original with your messages, read the profile and refer to that in your message so people know you actually went beyond the pictures and took an interest. Get yourself out there, usually there are social events on, go to a club, or some parties happily take in unverified members x |

In my opinion, anyone on here that wants to have a rant about loads of people not replying to their msgs, is either very nieve (only applies if you've been on less than a month) a total control freak if you're getting upset at people not doing what you want, or you're basically no right in the heed and a bit of a danger to others, just saying! |
