The 'fab' persona.....

Jump to: Newest in thread

By *TBS OP   Man  over a year ago

close enough

Do you think people have a fabswingers persona? Do you have one yourself?

I actually think there are lots of people whom have a fab persona, some to get what they want, some to garner favour and some to maybe be the person they would actually like to be but for whatever reason cannot.

I have realised I have a fab persona, I come across as a bit of a dick but am (almost) nice in real life. Guess I can be a bit of those keyboard warrior types, write what I wish with little fear of retribution........

It's a strange life ain't it?

I wonder how many whom will no doubt reply ' I am just me' will write it with a guilty flush on their cheeks?

I'm actually a lot nicer here than I am IRL

I dont suffer fools gladly normally but I find my tolerance level in here is greater and I also think in here people can't see me roll my eyes so I can temper my reply with kindness

Its nice to be nice

What you see is what you get with me

Not here to take sides or talk myself up.

I say it like I see it.

But answer to your question OP yes some have a fab persona as all talk on here but get them face to face socially and their timid little mice lol

Probably a bit more forthright on here than I am in real life.

I'd say folk have Internet personas, not just Fab ones. I'm a cheeky bugger who tries to not take life too seriously. Always have been. Likely always will be. It's got me in plenty bother on t'internet, and t'outernet at times, too. Mostly online as my bump in my cheek can't be seen via text.

I'm definitely more outgoing and confident online and a bit of a closed book offline. I don't often stand naked infront of strangers in the real world, either.

I think I'm probably much the same in real life. I couldn't be bothered to pretend to be something I'm not.

Sadly though I think some see me as a little bit stuck up sometimes on here , which really isn't me at all. Sometimes though it helps on here

I'm a lot more outgoing in real-life and probably less suspicious too.

Whilst I don't find it difficult to speak to people on here I take everything that is said with a pinch of salt. Whereas in real life it's easier chatting when you can see facial expressions, mannerisms etc.

I’ve been told several times I’m more laid back in person that how my messages read.

In my line of work we are trained to be to the point and quite forthright when typing up emails and letters so it probably does rub off and no doubt has a lasting effect after all these years.

I'm as bland as porridge with no salt or sugar on here.

I have met a fair few of you at socials now, and enjoy the contrast between online and offline

No idea I’m grumpy, sarcastic and generally dislike most things with a pessimistic outlook. I don’t think I try and appear any different on fab.

Apart from that comment I don't think you come across as grumpy.

No persona.

I'm me, no matter where I am, or how I'm dressed. Drab me is the same as dressed-up me, so it's a case of WYSIWYG at all times.

I'm the same here as I am everywhere else, I see no reason to be otherwise. Maintaining different personas for different people sounds exhausting!

If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything, as the saying goes!

I'm way cooler on fab than in person .

Bit of an introvert in rl - which probly comes across as a bit grumpy sometimes lol
