What is everyone's thoughts on us guys approaching ladies in the street and chatting (looking for female perspective here in particular)...
Reason I ask is i have never been the most confident in chatting women up and striking up conversation, I'm confident in the bedroom but initiating conversation is a weak area.
Today walking through town on lunch I noticed a very attractive young woman coming towards me and making strong eye-contact, of course this may have been because she thought i was F-ugly
Would it have been weird for me to just approach and talk to her?

I feel your pain, I’m the same. Although it appears to be just as difficult to get a response from women on here too, would be interesting to get a perspective..... |

"Don't chat them up.......just chat
Elaborate please I find small talk excruciating at times haha"
Don't start a conversation with compliments and flattery, it doesn't really leave much in the way of direction for it to go |

Dont be silly. We are not that bad. I love talking to people and people talking to me."
Yes you not all. That's why I say minefield haha.

I can go for days without seeing a soul so when someone talks to me its a good feeling as long as its nothing rude that they say. |

Have to agree with Kola... what would you say to anyone, male or female? Or is it both sexes you struggle to make small talk with, shyness in general? |

I am shy by nature however if a new member of staff starts at work I can initiate conversation no problem! Its finding the confidence to approach when out in public |

But I can undersrand why a chit chat would be good. Lets face it dog conversation are pretty one sided. |

I’d tend to think that would be a “transferable skill” surely there’s much there that’s general opening chat??? |

Just talk to them as people and let it take it's own course if anything going to happen it will if not you met a person and shared an enjoyable chat and put the world to rights.
Can you guess I'm not a fan of blowing smoke up someone's ass |

I would say that in a bar of coffee shop it’s ok to try and strike up a conversation but just keep it casual and see how she responds. If she looks uncomfortable then move on.
I really would advise against approaching and complimenting random women in the street. It’s happened to me and it’s incredibly creepy! |

anything more than a smile and nod would take me right out my comfort zone. And to be honest, stopping someone in the street to chat to them based on how they look is likely to get you into all sorts of shit. |

It can come over as a little creepy unless the man is relaxed and not attempting to hassle you. Unfortunately, some men can't read signals and then become aggressive when you don't show any interest... |

Everyone's medium is different though some love the cheese some detest it my point was when you chat up a woman/man it shows your interest is only in sex with them if you just chat it opens up way more avenues |
