Such tragic loss...
On this day... 18 years ago 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.

For those of us lucky enough to have been born after 1963, 11/09/2001 is OUR Kennedy Assassination moment.
I’ve visited the 9/11 memorial and museum in New York and I would urge anyone who visits that great city to do the same. Word of warning though: have something very fun planned for afterwards. |

I still remember it as if it was yesterday and watching the truly horrific story unfold on the TV. All those poor souls who lost their lives. Tragic and never forgotten. Beautifully written OP |

"Thank you OP. What a very well written and moving post!
Just goes to show there are some good folks on here! "
It's a grief monkey post that's doing the rounds on Facebook today.
But I guess it's done it's job for him. |

Folk can have a few moments quiet personal reflection for those who tragically lost their lives that terrible day.
Or they can post it on social media for the likes and profile views. |

I found out I was pregnant with my first born the evening before. On that morning I wondered just what kind of world I was bringing a child into. Overwhelmingly sad day. Still shed a tear for lives lost in this tragedy |

Still remember that day very vividly, had family over in Washington, and a friends little brother was on a football scholarship in New York we were both at work and as it all unfolded I remember the panic setting in as she tried to find out he was safe.
A sad sad day |

Watched a documentary about it last night again.. Still makes me feel nauseated when you see images of people looking for a way out that they decide the only thing to do is jump out the windows... |
