Been on and off here for about 8 year or so and it used to be a brilliant place where people could be themselves and used to meet sound like minded people.
Now days it's fake profiles, girls looking for "Pay Pigs" profiles that are adverts for lassies "private snapchats" guys harassing woman, patterless freaks who expect woman to drop everything and meet.
It's just not fun anymore. But how did it end up like this?
Anyone any ideas? |

I agree on the moral aspect of selling pictures and I think Fab would ban you if you were caught but the reality of this is that selling sex (even if it's only pics) is the "oldest profession" in the world and it won't stop. All that can be done in regard to Fab is report. |

I don’t think the site has gone down hill, it’s the users that have become disappointing, along with their unrealistic expectations. I do believe that we should treat people as we wish to be treated. Often I have asked men (purely because I only interact with males) if they would be happy for men to speak to their wife, daughter, sister in the same manner as they have just spoken (typed) to me?!
I’m a wizard with the block button these days and have a smart eye for the fantasies so I’m currently enjoying the site.
Don’t despair; there are some excellent wee surprises hidden away within the muddle we call Fab

Unfortunately the fakes put u on guard so when a genuine person comes along u tread carefully and dont trust anyone. I've spoken to people for weeks on here before and social met only to find when it comes to actually having a meet they're only here for the thrill of the chase |

Frankly my s*xworker friends get spoken to, and treated better, by clients than I have by a fair amount of the men I've interacted with. I've been online for 20years and people are just awful now. It's a throwaway instant-access culture. On a plus, the good ones are easier to spot.

It's certainly changed in the 3 1/2yrs we've been here.
I think a lot of it is to do with the way society is these days. Most people are just out for themselves and think the world owes them something.
But for all the idiots there are, there are lots of lovely genuine folk on here. Just a shame you have to sift through all the shit first to find them.

I cant imagine why people need to be rude (mostly men). The rude guys are clearly making it difficult for nice guys (insert my name here) to get noticed or trusted. I am always polite and respectful it's the only way to be , on here and in 'real' life to. |

I think if you look deep enough there's good people on here as for not getting replys to messages sometimes it takes a while for them to get to you message as I'm sure women have more mail to troll through than we could imagine I'm giving it a go and taking it easy....wasn't built in a day and all that.. |

Biggest change I've noticed in last couple of years is the money factor. Daily you see updates hinting at paid cams, looking to be wined & dined or even the 'I only meet at such and such club' honey traps.
If guys are daft enough to pay then not much can be done about it. |

There is no perfect approach, apart from make sure you do actually match what they are looking for (age, body shape etc)
Mention why you have contacted them, and not just their pictures! Because most men have crap pictures and even more crap profiles, give them something to respond to!
If you received 20 'How r u' messages in a day, would you answer them all? When none of the above has been taken into account? |

It could be because years ago there was only a small amount of single folk using this cause they had many other successful and free sites to use for casual sex. Once craigslist and a few others got cleaned up I think people jumped ship to here because "heuheu it's a sex site I'll definitely get my hole". Also think that's why the days of conversation have gone and its just one sentence mails like "u hav kik/snapchat/etc meet now"  |

Can honestly say over the past 2 years at least,i simply have not put in the time or effort like i used to, could be my age,could be the nick of the site currently,maybe a bit of both.
When i think back to how i used to juggle real life,work and free-fabtime,seems impossible now generally, so you kind of prioritise,therefore a fab fixture would really have to fall into place beautifully for me to get all enthusiastic again.

There has been a slight decline in the interactions on the site, there are still alot of amazing people here though.
But there has been a decline in use of chat for example; there used to be a real community feel there.
It seems to happen on swingers sites it goes in cycles. Aff was the place to be, now it's Fab it's probably a matter of time before there is a transition to a new site. |

That said, I think Fabswingers has been, up till now, the best free swingers site.

A bit harsh, there are folk here that enjoy voyeuristic sex such as pictures, cam sex, chat room sex and so on. None of that is my bag but many do enjoy it so why criticise their choice or force people to pay. Fab tries to appeal to as wide a sexual community as possible.
I think Fab does an amazing job by providing a site that you can access most of it for free. In regards to timewasters or wankers (literal ones too), it also gives you all the tools to filter out such people so no complaints from me. Only my opinion though, you're entitled to yours of course but I hope Fab keep it as it is. |

It’s always been exploitative for some, if you allowed yourself to be exploited.
People looking to be escorted to socials, clubs on the basis that the other pay the entry, travel and hotel costs on the expectation or hope for sex in payment. Both woman and males guilty of this.
People looking for gifts, hotel costs, lingerie etc. If there was no market for it, it wouldn’t thrive.
Sex sells.
That being said, there are loads of people still enjoying the site for what it is, a possible introduction to likeminded people in the hope of enjoying each other sexually. |

This won't be a popular answer but its my honest _iew on it.
Whilst all mentioned issues happen around the 'fabswingers' British isles Scotland for whatever reason has become more negative, the forums more aggressive (no,not opinionated) and the profiles more demanding (or you could say more choosey).
Both sexes and both singles and couples are just as guilty.
This is obviously only my opinion,and yes I could be wrong but after 10 years on here both as single and long term couple you notice things.

I think this site for us single man's are just a west of time to send a message out because maybe in this site are 90 percent man and 10 percent woman's and couples! here in Newcastle I asked a couple and single ladie and they said they receive like a 100 message a day I don't know if this is the case in Scotland but here in North East it seems all man's are single no girlfriend or wife! |
