It's not weird at all. My mum thinks it's strange that I go to the cinema by myself. I'm a grown woman, why not? There lots of people who do it and it's sheer bliss getting lost in a film having a drink and popcorn all to yourself x |

I’m the same. I’m on a 2 day thing in Edinburgh for work and just booked a room so I could just stay over. Went out a wander, went for food then came back and relaxed. It’s good sometimes not having to discuss what’s for dinner or which way to go. |

Try and start chatting to them as a group maybe before talking to her on her own |

Love going to the cinema alone always good to come out relaxed and less stabby after watching a movie with out the “who’s that” “what did they say” and let’s not get started on the loud eating lol |

Enjoy the cinema on my own.
Would be happy to go for a glass of wine on my own with a good book though as a single female you'd most likely get a few odd looks. |

I (J) used to work away all the time (S still does) and I used to always go for a meal on my own.
I used to make sure there was a bar in the hotel so that I didn’t have to venture far.
It didn’t bother me tbh
And I love going to the cinema on my own.

Not been clubbing alone but I go to gigs and the cinema on my own all the time now, wish I'd done it earlier tbh. Missed out on a lot cause my friends had different interests, nothing wrong with going somewhere on your own I'd say. Just be sensible |

Loads of folk go out in their own, I can easily go out to certain places in my own and guarantee to bump into loads of old friends and folk I know but the choice is do I want to, sometimes it’s nice to just go somewhere new and people watch |
