Anyone else rather excited for the release of Tool’s new album on 30th August? Got plans for listening to it? I plan to leave work early, get a copy & head home to listen to in on headphones with no distractions. |

Absolutely, we've waited long enough! Heard the new single on Spotify last, very good it is too... |

Yes!! Although I don't think I'll be springing £80 for the album with built in speakers and screen
I'm so glad the back catalogue is finally on streaming services too - it's been a few years since I've owned a cd player... |

"Threads like this make me feel old as i have never heard of them. Need to go onto you tube and educate myself."
It’s quite an old band, been around a decade since the last album.
Hopefully it’s better than the new A Perfect Circle, wasn’t too impressed with that one. |

It's not your fault, they've not exactly been prolific with output recently! I hope you had fun with your YouTube education though, they're a quite incredible band. |

Wow, that's a trifle, er, hard to swallow?! "
Yeah I was thinking that myself. I’ve tried to find out if there is a regular CD version coming out as well or not. The downloadable version will include extra “ambient” tracks not found on the CD. Only way I can listen to the CD will be to pop it in the PlayStation & get the headphones on. |

Thats only your opinion. I did not really like them. All songs sounded alike to me with different lyrics. Good voice drowned out by loud instruments. |

If you like his voice but not the loud music, try A Perfect Circle’s most recent album. Same vocalist, different band. |

Just had my first listen though. Holy crap that was incredible! Felt my mouth forming into a smile numerous times throughout, had a chuckle at the first segue & shed a couple of genuine tears during 7empest. For me personally, it is everything a Tool album should be & sounds fantastic. Can’t wait to spend what will amount to days of my life listening to it over the years to come. |

"Waited so damn long for it! Its amazing.... not their best.
Fingers crossed for a Glasgow album tour though!"
They’re doing a North American tour this winter so maybe in the new year they’ll come to Europe |

Found the album very disappointing! Lacked any real bite of a tool album. Definitely a more grown up affair but sadly the least interesting album they've done in my opinion. Will continue to listen though as sometimes a tool album can take several listens to tap into |

I think it’s a grower, wasn’t keen at first. Tool have always been like that though. |

After all the waiting and anticipation im absolutely loving the new album. Really hope they do a uk tour. Saw them in the early 90s when they supported Rage Against The Machine at the Barrowlands and haven't had a chance to see them since. |
