Has anyone done this here? Soooo for the last 6 days I have been fasting ate nothing, zero, zilch. All I've been doing is drinking water about 4 liters per day. I bought these strips that you wee on and they change color depending how much ketones youre passing. I didnt enter ketoisis till late on day three. I'm down 8 lbs...pretty crazy. |

I guess to lose weight, its not been that bad I thought it would be hard keeping away from food but keeping busy at work has helped take my mind of eating. I guess I'm more fasting just now than being on a keto diet but I'm going to keep this up as long as I can then start eating keto foods like seafood, eggs, beef, lamb etc. I have a "Keto Cookbook 150 delicious low-carb high fat recipes" |

I meant don’t carry on fasting at all.
when you start keto the first few weeks is all about keeping carbs below what ever level you’d et but you need some carbs or you will feel dreadful. You need to get and do your research properly and work out your macros. Your going to do so much damage doing what your doing now.
Yes it’s a bit weird going to eat loads of cheese and stuff you normally wouldn’t but once you get into it it’s great. |

Get online and get your macros worked out. There are loads of apps to track macros again do research as a lot are American based and they work their net carbs differently to uk/Europe |

This is not keto this is extended fasting
Keto is low carb high protein
U also has fasting 16:8 ,18:6, 20:4,alternative day fasting and extended fasting I suggest u learn more about each before you do this again |

I've been fasting properly for about the last 2 yrs and it's the best thing I've ever done, in terms of my weight, fitness & energy levels and helping my digestive system (bit sluggish). Had my bloods checked recently and with the exception of my iron levels (low due to heavy periods, not diet related) everything else was perfect.
I don't do crazy 6 day fasts though. That is mental. Eat most days between 2pm and 7pm. We fast most nights anyway when you think about it so all I'm doing us having my "break-fast" at 2pm instead of 7am when I'm not actually hungry. If I want a day off or fancy eating earlier I do.

This I was two months reading, watching docs, researching and meal planning and buying up what I needed before I took plunge.
I switched from slimming world to keto as I started uping the distance in my running I was eating or taking lots of artificial carbs and the weight was creeping up. I’m doing targeted keto at mo but once I do my last half marathon in sept I’m going full keto and going to slowly go fat adapted exercise over winter |

Sorry O.P but thats mental.
Something you find with all these diets is they tend to work for a while then most poeple put all the weight back on and then some.
Very few actually keep it off for good.
The one diet thats stood the test of time is the cal deficit, less cals in more cals out.
If you search on facebook theres a page called team RH Fitness, Ritch posts a lot of videos explaining how diets and your body works. Im not recommending the plan just the videos.
What you also need to be careful about when dieting is losing weigt to fast like I did, I managed to get down to 14st then really struggled to get past that. I got my metabolism tested and it turns out its extremely low due to my dieting so now only thing that will work for me is building muscle so I burn more.

OP - not eating for that long is a bad idea. Start eating something like now! There's some evidence the keto diet can bring benefits for some people - so give that a shot if you want. Almost anything will be better than starving yourself though! |

I lost first 5stone of my weight loss doing slimming world but once my exercise regime changed it didn’t work so well for me switched to keto and the pounds are dropping again.
Keto isn’t about starving yourself some people do intermittent fasting but it’s about eating a different way |

Get your macros worked out properly. I’ve been doing Keto for 8 weeks and I’ve lost 2 stone. I do fairly strict Keto with the odd dirty Keto day. I also throw in some 16:8 intermittent fasting. Works well for me. |

Water fasting is a bad way to enter ketosis as tbe come up would be to strong a ketosis diet is great i do it 6 days of the week with a cheat day (today) one pizza and crisps for a movie then back on to be honest used to have carb dreams after a few months i wouldnt thank you for a carb diet its to white and tasteless i enjoy wholewheat padta and brown wild rice sweet potatoes and masses of meat and greens |

Potato diet is a good diet for two weeks , it reboots the body search it online . Just eating potatos(sweet potato too) my brother done it and lost 3 stone in a month but with every diet you have to do exercise & water.
But really no fad diets needed. You just confuse the body when you cheat or add things not included in diets.
Just change the way you eat, eat greens with meals, veg and fruit 5 a day, fish at least twice a week, use sea salt or hymalayan salt, cut sugar intake down no need to cut out all foods altogether. Moderation is the only way. Too little or too much of anything is not good.

Eat sensibly, concentrating on healthy, filling meals so that you are less tempted to eat in between. Try to plan healthier activities for times when you are prone to unhealthy snacking.
Get what exercise you can as regularly as you can.
