In not 100% but because of the mess and fires / general unsociable behaviour I think they’ve banned wild camping around Loch Ness 
Like I say not 100% so might be worth a google |

Not sure wild camping can be banned in Scotland due to right to roam , they can ban fires which is sensible. East Loch lomond does have a bylaw that makes it illegal.
Too large an area to recommend, anywhere, Away from tracks, paths or roads. |

Theres a good bit about an hrs walk up ben nevis it flattens out and you can see a loch from the path pretty exposed as no woodland but far enough away to be secluded |
