ok possibly the last long one for the year.
i think i have a new run worked out. i will say that the starting point is near stirling so that it is good for more folks.
due to the nights drawing in any runs after october are not likley - bike hibernation and the like .
if you are interested please post note of interest and what dates in October are best |

due to the lack of interest -
Ill take it that most are hibernating there bikes -
what happened to the hard biker who rides in all weathers
so other than local get togethers for a coffee at carbeth or a hot choc at tyndrum hope your bikes have a nice hibernation
now im off to get some fun on the clear roads with few bikes it might be colder but the raods are great |

OK
since there is now a bit of uptake for a run in October. the date will most probably be the 10th if that suits most folk.
as said before the starting point will be near Stirling or dumbarton depending on where folk are coming from . if everyone is ok with that can you get back to me with your prefered stat location |

change in plans.
BIKE RUN BROUGHT FORWARD TO 3RD OCT
since it is now getting dark earlier each night a better date would be the 3rd of Oct, this way it will be dark at about 7pm .so we will not need to ride in the dark. and before anyone says it yes i know bikes have headlights, but it is still not fun riding in the dark .If you are having fun in the dark then please dont crash in front of me .

Hey Declan, We've got my niece coming down for the October holidays and i wasn't sure if it was appropriate or not to let her go pillion (shes 17) so it was changed to the 3rd along with the nights getting much shorter...
However, if no one had any objections to her being a pillion i don't see why it can't be moved back to the 10th
Fingers crossed its summer soon my bike is hating the cold already. |

I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for her to be pillion? It's not as if we talk x-rated, although you'd need to make sure everyone knew incase they asked her what her fab username is!! lol
And of course you'd need to tell us the 'story' of how we met you in the first place lol

Niece is pretty sound anyway, shes 17 and bi/gay/undecided so pretty open minded. She doesn't know about the bike run yet anyway nor would i tell her it was a bunch of swingers, coz that's unfair on you guys....
I doubt she would ask, its a group of bikers, we've been out before... as for the usernames, she knows we meet random folk on the net anyway...
If no one objects then the 10th it is... if anyone want's to ask anything either get hold of blackbird or myself

Many apologies, i thought i was doing the right thing trying to get it back to the 10th.
Was trying to think of other people, not just myself |

emails sent to all about the route for the run.
if you want to make any alterations we will do it on the day .
other than that as normal it is WEATHER DEPENDENT
if you know of any good eateries do tell |

i have looked at a few weather sites for this saturday. the ones I use are XC weather and windguru and the met office - these are showing a few showers and about 10 degrees for glencoe,
( thermal undies or suspenders for those that feel the need)
so for this time of year its about right.
so i think it will be like the oban run a bit.
PS we can always get to and just stay in the green wellie drinking hot choc - i know some folk would like that |

if you thought the coffee was crap you should have tried the tea - just mucky water - now i know why folk drink hot choc at the wellie
and we did not even make it to carbeth for my gallon of tea and the free refills of coffee ah well maybe another day.
glad everyone has thawed out ok and some tucked their bikes up in the blankets ( what happened to hardened bikers)
PS i hate cross winds |

Sorry guys plans went a bit wonky, got up early as planned, had normal shower shave coffee etc . then thought god ma head is pounding and then remembered i only went to bed at 2 am and was worse for wear. So the fact i do like to keep my license i opt out to play infact i opt for back to bed and get rid og nasty hangover.Sounds like ye had a ball though. |

better safe than sorry biking is fun but not with a hangover and a license is more important than a day out or crashing in to a tree |

I noticed that blackbird didnt have the camera this time but it seems someone was filming our run and has posted on youtube (see link below)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8TWD8YRFKU
next time we wont be allowing any cars to join, especially white trans am's!
(now everyone who was on the run, dont tell anyone our little secret . Just smile nod and say "ye, thats definitely us!)
