I don't think there's a doctor in the house.

Go back and see your gp

Glasgowish

Go to a chiropractor for their opinion. Due to my job i sometimes suffer from lower back pain and i found good exercises on you tube which helped. I also use muscle rub and heat pads when my back plays up.

See another GP in your practice if you were dissatisfied with the original diagnosis. As oldy says too, there are alternative ways to treat back pain but try and get a recommended one if you can. Good luck

Had serious issues with my lower back for a long time. Turned out my left leg was an inch shorter due to a twisted pelvis. Had lots of massages and chiro visits to address the symptoms. However, after a course of physio treatment, I've been relatively pain free since addressing the underlying cause.

Good chiro or physio will help you out.

Good luck!

GP ..or another who takes your concerns seriously. There could be a number of causes from straightforward to more serious....once that's ruled out, start to go down the physical therapies route.

Central Borders

For the first time since the end of April my back is ok today!!! Don't feel it at all. To celebrate I'm going to do a naked dance tonight

Can take a while OP. And I got there with some magic pills from doc (which didn't seem to quite take it away, but took the worst off).

If doctor can't help you, maybe try physio. Hope it's better soon, since it's hellish not being able to just do all the simple things like putting your socks on without rolling around on the bed to try and find a pain free position x

I'm keeping active, icing my back every few hours and taking some co-codamol. Hope your back heals
