Off to Edinburgh this week.
Wondering what to do during the day. Got a few touristy things planned, such as the castle, Arthur’s Seat, spot of shopping and maybe the beach.
Anything else? Hoping to do a bit of walking and some nice scenery (apart from the dogging).
Any ideas welcome.

Princess Street or the botanic Gardens are great places to just sit for a bit and watch the world go by .
If it's raining the museum is worth a wander round too |

Even as a certified Weegie, Edinburgh is pretty spectacular visually.
Yes the area round Princes Street is a bit touristy but that's not a bad thing. Plenty bars in that area and it's very international.
If you're looking to misbehave then there is a club called After 8. Keep an eye out for threads for the nights you're there.
Enjoy. |

Take a stroll up and down the Royal Mile for sure - although the castle esplanade is shut as they set up for the Tattoo. The museum is OK - if you go then make sure and go to the roof terrace in the museum of Scotland. Great views. |
