Mine has got to be when I drive and come to a roundabout and have to think where the person in front off me is going like he doesn't know the car had Amber lights that can go on n off at either side off the car ffs.

People who reduce a 3 lane motorway down to a 2 lane motorway by sitting in the middle lane. Whats with that anyway, if your such a bad fuckin driver you only need to check 3 sides for other cars when sat in the left lane , front , back and right side.
But
Middle lane you have cars all around you , over taking, under taking, sitting up yer azz because your blocking a lane for no fuckin reason and cars in front hitting there breaks as there so pissed off they were stuck behind you when you WERE sitting in the middle lane while they tried to pass.
Its not rocket science, you move out , you overtake, you move back in.  |

Sorry my dear, I disagree but you are of course entitled to that opinion. I do think some try hard or maybe they did when fresh faced and idealistic but most as they get into a position of power where they could actually make a difference they’ve become so concerned with personal and party power that they’ve forgotten that they should be serving humanity and trying to make life better for ALL, rich, poor, black, white or bum bee tartan! Eating food or gum and that smacking noise ,omg it drives me nuts.

Kids would jump up on the stool with snot running down their faces and we would just stare at the parent then hand them a tissue and say . Any chance of dealing with that before we start. I think youve been mislead but VED is not linked to emissions, high emissions in any vehicle will result in that car failing its mot so therefore csnnot be used on any roads, motorists pay road tax to drive on the road and the money we pay is to help maintain these roads although the roads around where I live haven't been filled in for years. |

I've done a few facepainting for kids for family parties too but I can't help myself I naturally go for the tissues and want to wipe noses lol I just say oh dear you've got a wee sniffle and wipe before the kids tongue comes out , weak stomache for snotters hahahaa

Totally can't stand that either or drive by someone smoking in car then you see kids waving out the window. Selfish feckers. And I'm a smoker but never near a kid or non smoker ,outside my house up back on decking always and don't smoke whilst out walking about shopping or in car even if kids are not in it. |

Hmm... Reading it right now and it states pretty clearly that the VED is linked to CO2 emmissions... in fact it says the link was made even stronger in 2017. The info is all out there. |

You've probably never met an MP. How do you know anything about them other than what you are led to believe in the press? There are only a handful in the public eye. Perhaps they are the ones you refer to?

There’s no such thing as road tax it hasn’t existed since the 30s
Roads and highways are fully funded by income tax, vat, council tax etc
Everyone is free to use the roads whether it be car bike tractor mobility scooter etc
What we are being taxed on is the emissions that our cars produce technically we could make cyclists apply for a VED however because they are zero emissions the cost of registration and producing the documents etc would have to be subsidised elsewhere ie those who do pay currently the tax will pay more
The money raised from VED not only goes towards roads it also goes towards parks, recreation, steer lighting, refuse etc you name it because it goes into the same pot of money that our income tax and council tax goes into |

Thank you for your kind positive response and agreeing with me that their intentions at least on starting out their career are good, having met a few politicians in my time, I would have to say that any I have met from a spectrum of (I'll use this word carefully) traditional parties are of sound mind and judgement, wanting to do the best by their constituents, no doubt though like any barrel there are bad apples and like any person, time brings cynicism.
However I do stand by the comments that they are underpaid and if anyone is not happy with politics it's the easiest thing in the world to join a party-create a party and get of your arse and do something about it.
Do not sit and judge people without at least trying to get on the hot seat yourself... not ained directly at you.

Thank you for that response, still not convinced on the pay. For example those in the care sector are on minimum wage and terrible conditions but I will most certainly agree that there’s a huge section of the public who seem to think that they need do nothing to improve society or the environment. Thinking of those who litter indiscriminately, abuse our NHS and social security systems, seem to think “the government” should solve every social ill as examples. There’s no easy answer to be sure but I still see politicians putting putting personal kudos and party power before what’s best for the people and the country. What annoys me, cyclists cycling up a hill in a 60mph area doing 15mph when there is a bloody cycle path right next to the damn road. Normally cyclists dont bother me but the ones who straight up refuse to use cycle lanes on roads that are clearly dangerous for them to be on just baffles me.
The local council has spent millions on cycle tracks and they are never used, it is crazy |
