Talk of scrabble earlier got me thinking.

Do people still play older board games like monopoly, trivial persuit, scrabble etc nowadays. We have family games nights a couple of times a year with our adult kids and do food etc.

Used to play scrabble regular too with my sis and old mum n dad.

Been known to break out the cards against humanity after parties nowadays.

Any other favourites out there that you still play or miss playing.

I do remember many moons ago, circa 1988, that we played an Ann Summers game called Fantasy for Lovers.

Ps: Do you know who the Christmas No.1 will be???

Do a few games after Christmas dinner there we tried the new one where you have to put oven gloves and a hat on and unwrap the parcel until the next player throws a double six

The hubs and I like a board game night; the Jumanji game, chess, frustration, senet... we also like word games and trivial pursuit, but tend to play digital versions of those. We like cards too, gin rummy and switch. At Christmas, it's usually a few rounds of stop the bus.

Risk is a favourite here too (so many variants.). Used to play all nighters back in the day. Likewise Mah Jong.

Hate monopoly with a passion. Zombicide, Smart Arse, Exploding Kittens to name a few. And a load more you’ll never have heard of lol.

Good to see we're not the only people playing board games nowadays. Lol

That would perhaps make a terrific social event, come as a board game token or character.

Social Butterflies are you listening.

Play board games regularly. Play darts and cards too

I'm really surprised not many parents still do this, and we blame our kids and technology for being anti social

Thinking on it - which would be the official Fabswingers game?

Risk - the strategic conquest and domination game

Or

Naked Twister?

Clearly it can’t be Monopoly.

A deck of cards... it has it all!

Strip poker, jokers, scabby queen, snap and for the lone wanker - solitaire
