Love a wee hot toddy! But only whisky, honey & hot water for me. Take paracetamol & ibuprofen too (if allowed) to take away any aches & pains.

Absolute nonsense, every year elderly people die of the flu and it's complications, there is a well publicised flu vaccine program and you're telling the whole world of medicine that they have it wrong and that you can solve it with Echinacea capsules  .
I feel your pain Jason because man flu is a thing. The symptoms of the flu are not the virus itself but the body's inflammatory reaction to the virus and its proven that males mount a more aggressive and severe inflammatory response to the flu virus hence the symptoms are worse.

Man flu? Bird flu is the killer really!
My remedy is a hot toddy but with rum rather than whisky although both work. Hot honey and lemon. Like I find works better with rum though. Go really heavy on the honey but add a beechsms powder to it.
Hot water bottle or electric blanket on full. Then sleep as long as you possibly can.
Another of the famous tamara hot toddy’s and sleep again if possible while sweating it out with leccie blanket/ hot water bottle
Also keep a big bottle of water by your bed and drink as much and as often as you can when awake.
Usually over it in a couple of days unless it hits my chest |

I started taking these tablets after reading about them on another thread where they had helped loads of others too. But of course everyone on here speaks nonsense apart from yourself of course. I never said they prevent flu i said they prevent man flu which as wr know is not the same. |

I always have whisky, honey lemon and hot water.. I buy a cheaper whisky to keep for this, don't like to waste the good stuff. |

What? Firstly there is no evidence. You suggested he take it BEFORE the flu to prevent it and yet any effects are negated if you take it for 12 weeks. When would he start taking it preemptively with that in mind? So if youre still taking those tablets and have been for longer than 12 weeks to prevent colds and flus you would be just as effective taking a smartie daily rather than giving Holland and Barrett your money.
But if you read it on here it must be true. |
