"We are finally getting the opportunity to head along Who has it in their diary? Will be good to catch up with friends and meet new ones xxx"
It’s the Glasgow summer social that night so it’s possible a lot of folk may head over after but there will certainly be a lot of fabbers in the town that’s for sure |

"I’m thinking about going. How far in advance do you have to book? And do people often go alone?"
Always lots of single females going alone, single males however the numbers are limited, always folk happy to meet beforehand if you’re nervous and everyone’s always very friendly and welcoming |

In my experience (I have only been twice) cjs is very cliquey. Although lots on the forum deny this. The people wgi run it are approachable and happy to show you round but it's the same folk go all the time so they tend to stick together. Try and see if anyone meeting for pre drinks first? |

You say you've been twice, your very knowledgeable, did you try talking to people or did you sit in a corner being judgemental as you are here? You sound like youve been scorned |

The first time I went with someone abd yes of course I chatted to people. The team who run it are happy to answer any questions or give advice. The second time I went alone. Not scorned at all. I just find it amusing that you appear to be unable to give critical feedback on here without being jumped on. The Lady asked for advice and I gave her mine. If you are nervous about going the first time then meeting up for drinks first is good advice,I think. |

Thanks. I know a couple who are going but might be less daunting if I arrange pre cjs drinks. I have heard of the clique culture but guess that’s human nature. X |

I went alone the second and third time I went. There is always plenty of people willing to chat. It can be daunting initially but Once you’re chatting you’ll be fine. As for attire, wear what you would usually wear on a night out to a club.x |

We went for the first time on Friday, very relaxed atmosphere, felt like a cross between a house party and a local pub. |

Ooft.
Came on to read some opinions here.
Let me give you mine
I am certainly not part of any 'clique' so the bullshit that has been spoken about it only being frequented by people who frequent the forums and are part of the 'clique' is just that.... Bullshit. We have went on many occasions and chatted to many people who hadn't even heard of Fab never mind frequented the forums. I suggest maybe a wee look at ones own personal attitude may be required here as to why people avoid certain individuals. Also seen mentioned on another thread about 'certain ages'. We have encountered young couples and men there ranging from 19 up so I would say that opinion is yet again bullshit.
Op or anyone else going for the first time happy to chat and give you some guidance. Like I have shared I went myself and would have no issues going myself again. Its just like a pub in Glasgow. Wear what you would out for a night out.
All just my opinion of course
Xxx |

I haven’t been to a ‘fun for all’ for a while. I always go on my own and as a TV it can be a little daunting. But Caroline and her team are super friendly and obviously pro TV and I’ve had a great experience there. Mostly
I may go tomorrow. So hope to see a few open minded fun for all types at the bar. X |
