I must disagree, we did deserve to win, especially as holland stuck out a first choice team, even after qualifying.
However our problem is that we need to have an unacheivable task to bring out the best in us. It's gut wrenching but undeniably true.
We dont like to make it easy!

Once again glorious failure, to be honest seeing how well we played is a kick in the teeth when you consider how bad we were in earlier qualifying matches.

we had the oppertunity to put out a full strength team but miller and maloney were put out as starters when stephen fletcher and agrry o'connor are having blazing starts to thier season in the epl..aswell as boyd being missing for the majority of the campaign
to be honest i was never confident as im used to being left depressed, but what makes it worse is england cruised through again  |

Chris Boyd with his "im no playing" thing, the ferguson/Mcgregor nonsense,it was a team that tonight nearly achieved something against all the odds, im not a rangers or celtic fan, but good old what if, what if Chris Boyd feckin grew up and declared bygones and remembered how, like anyone growing up kicking a ball,remembered how playing for your country is important because if you contribute, things like World Cups might happen !!

Scotland has world champions in other sports, so why do we as a nation idolise over-rated, over-paid, under-acheiving footballers?? It's a complete mystery to me!.... & I once posed this question to Craig Brown in person, who basically agreed with my sentiment.

Lets get this right.....
Scotland should have not pinned thier hopes on beating Holland in the latter stages against a team who have a track record in World Cup football.
Holland fielded their first team choice and rightly so..Scotland fielded thiers,surely we were not hopeing they would pitch a 2nd class team ..ffs cmon.
YOU DO NOT WIN GAMES WITH CREATEING THE MOST CHANCES OR WE WERE THE BETTER SIDE.YOU WIN GAMES BY RATTLING THE BALL IN THE BACK OF THE NET,WHICH HOLLAND DID.
The reason Scotland are out of the campaign is because they are simply not good enough ..
