Hubby and I heading to the West End for Social afternoon drinking for a couple of hours from 1.30pm on Sunday 26th May with a few fellow Fabbers.
All welcome so come say hi and enjoy the live music, a wee dance maybe, good pub grub and chit chat.

Well we’re there sat night and staying over so I should be up early as I don’t drink and be able to get most of the stuff done and Maggie said she will help out as well, I guess I’ll cook breakfast for the troops, I’ll not be drinking so no excuses not to drive over and get some food with you guys beforehand |

Restaurant can only guarantee food for a group if they have confirmed numbers. Last time we only booked a table for the 4 of us but another 8 turned up and could not be seated so had to eat in the pub next door . Don’t want the same disappointment. X |

To be fair. I'd imagine a pub kitchen would want to know if they had 30 extra covers on a bank holiday. Probably not running full staff etc and could cause issues. |

I know. We got caught out at the last bank holiday. Thought it would only be 6 of us and 28 turned up lol but they couldn’t accommodate the extras for food so this time we just wanted to avoid that this time x |

Having worked in pubs serving even giving a heads up of a rough number is always useful. It allows you to let others arriving to get order in before the big one. And means the chef isn’t swearing at you quiet as much! Have a good one! |

There’s no pressure, hubby and I are out for lunch and drinks anyway so we just throw in an open invitation and it’s from 1.30 so early enough for Fabbers to go on to the cj’s Social afterwards so they get the best of both really x |
