The new Sky drama has been really good. It's accurate enough and it's clearly borrowed from earlier documentaries and docu-dramas.
Where it really scores is in conveying the human element. It really makes you feel the fear, the horror, the anger at the stupidity ... all that.
And - for me, anyway - in a way that I just didn't feel it at the time; even though I understood what a disaster it was. |

It's horrible to think that a stupid mistake or the action of some TRUMPed up lunatic could do that or much, much worse. Hopefully the powers that be learn by such things. |

Using drone technology, the British band Suede set the video to a recent single at Pripyat, the nearby town that was abandoned after the Chernobyl disaster. It's a fascinating video seeing the trees and nature forcing their way back through amongst the derelict buildings and fairground. |
