Well as we know now ( people who like football ) England have 4 footie teams in finals in Europe now does that make them the best league in the world .

Would love to hear what others think

Grossly overrated league. Outside of the top 4 (excluding the once in a lifetime win by Leicester) no-one has a snowballs chance in hell of winning the Premiership. Scottish football, English football....same shite, different depth.

Aren't all leagues in the world like that ? I would say that the standard played in most games week in week out is probably the best in Europe if not the world

Just heard that's the first ever time that one country has had the 4 finalists for the 2 European finals , hearing another 66

And both finals being played nowhere near the finalists country with restrictions on tickets for all fans. It’s as if organisers assumed other teams would automatically be in the final.

Catch a grip dude.

2 finalists in the champions league

2 finalists in the Europa league

And the team likely to be crowned champions this weekend not even included in that.

Every other major league in Europe has been a walkover for years and is a stroll for the big teams. At least there is a top 4/6 in England.

I agree that there is a lot of overinflated crap outside that and many of the games are unwatchable each weekend but thy are still better than most of the rest in the other leagues in Europe.

Anyway it's all based on sky/BT revenue so the post should read team Sky/BT best league in Europe!

It's a shame, because after their heroics I wanted Ajax to go all the way.

It's totally the strongest league in Europe . As you say, both European finals will be contested by teams from the EPL. You can't argue with that IMO.

Ayr

Teams based in England might be a more accurate name for them.

That said, it's a remarkable feat for all those non-English players and coaches; they have every right to feel proud of themselves.

Being called English is a small burden to bear. LOL

Erskine

The ticket costs and allocations to the teams seem a bit restrictive for fans who want to aee their team. Seems a lot of the tickets will heading the way of sponsors

It's called the English Premier League because it is a league which is played exclusively in England. Doesn't matter where the players or managers are from. This year it has been very competitive. Up here there is no competition. 8 in a row, it's going to be 10 and it's easy.

Thus year no doubt it shows the clubs are the strongest in Europe but over last 5-10 it’s been the Spanish teams , how many cup wins and finalists have they had

Still an outstanding season fir the English clubs.

As a Scot I have to say, some of the English games I have watched this year have been fantastic. With four teams in the Euro finals it's hard to argue that it's not the best, at the moment.

Oh for some of that Sky money for Scottish football.

Well as its not considered a good product I don't see Sky money coming to scottish football sorry.

But on a slightly different note I also think its shocking that Arsenal are only given 6000 tickets for a stadium which holds 68,000!
