Depending what your after,

Whisky exchange is good, the whisky shop is also pretty good

And if you ever know anyone going on holiday try and get them to get you some from the airport because a lot of distilleries do "airport only" bottles so those are usually pretty good

And yes as above online whisky auctions

Haha fingers crossed you don’t come across your dad! You can take that anyway you wish haha!

Yeah I’ve been keeping an eye on auction sites and also signing up for all the committee newsletters etc.

Treated myself to the game of thrones collection but the market is flooded with them just now

If your planning on selling, sell them to America, a friend is just back but he says they have doubled in price in the US

This might sound weird but check out amazon

There are sometimes some good deals on there, so potentially some new special cask strengths etc that could be something to put aside for future

Yeah I have been keeping an eye on amazon. That’s where I got the game of thrones set as I could preorder it as a prime customer.

My friends fiancé has gor quite the collection going, he does a lot of weekend trips to the islands and all of Scotland really and tends to pick up something every trip so it’s a souvenir as well as an investment, he’s sitting with around 6-700 at the minute

Angus and Aberdeenshire, Scotland

I’m a big collector my recommendation would be stick with one brand and complete collections

I collect Macallan and have an extensive collection

Be on the look out for new start ups who need crowd funding.

A bottle from a first cask may well become very valuable in the future.

This also applies to gin.

This is a little off topic sorry

My mum works for a distillery and has got a small collection which I didn't know about when I was 14 I nicked a bottle out the cupboard looked pretty standard to me it was worth £18000. Then, wouldn't want to know what it would be worth now so that was my inheritance wasted literally as I got pissed and spewed it up
